Packaging and Contents

The box Deepcool ships their Gamer Storm Lucifer CPU cooler in is a great deal larger than I expected. It roughly measures 20 cm in length, 15 cm in width, and 30 cm in height. Its size is good news because it means the cooler is protected. The front presents the Gamer Storm logo, in a shiny black color, with a smaller version and "Lucifer" in a vibrant metallic green in the bottom-right corner. The left side details the cooler's features, which include its massive size, six copper heatpipes, the convex copper base, and the bundled 140 mm fan. The back of the box lists all the specifications and includes the information one would expect to see there.

The right side and top simply feature the product name, Lucifer, and the metallic green Gamer Storm logo.

Opening the box reveals neatly stacked cardboard boxes. One contains the mounting hardware and another holds the heatsink. The last box contains the UF140 mm fan. Everything is packaged exceptionally well to make sure the Deepcool Lucifer doesn't arrive with dents, dings, or scratches, which I and many enthusiasts can appreciate.

All modern sockets are supported, and the Gamer Storm Lucifer's mounting hardware is very simple and straightforward. Universal mounting brackets for AMD and Intel are included. The blackpate is also universal in its design. The small de-vibration buckles (the small black rubber pieces that look like old school magnets) are interesting as well. These keep the backplate screws in place and help reduce vibrations. The fan clips are straightforward, but where others only provide what is needed, Deepcool has included extras that allow the Gamer Storm Lucifer to utilize up to two fans.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 4x Wire fan clips
  • 4x Nuts
  • 4x Screw bolts
  • 4x Screws for LGA2011
  • 4x Black plastic spacers
  • 4x De-vibration buckles
  • 2x AMD mounting brackets
  • 2x Intel mounting brackets
  • 1x Backplate
