  • Ambidextrous
  • Great driver suite (albeit memory intensive)

  • Price
  • Driver uses 120+ MB RAM
SteelSeries nailed it with the Sensei [RAW] Frost Blue Edition. The [RAW] models are definitely for the hardcore gamer, doing away with the features you hardly ever use. SteelSeries even made the mouse better where it matters performance-wise, as it now features a soft cable rather than a stiffly braided one and weighs approximately 10% less. That and the great ergonomics of the original Sensei make the mouse incredible to game with. It is very close to the ideal mouse for die-hard medium to high-sensitivity FPS gamers. RPG gamers will also feel at home with this mouse because of its many buttons and well-performing button mechanisms. The design for the Frost Blue is, aside from the different color scheme, basically the same as that of the other [RAW]-series Sensei mice. The white / gray color scheme works well and Apple users will probably appreciate it.

This mouse just works, and the only faults we can point out are that it is still quite expensive at $60 and that the driver suite it comes with happily consumes over 120 MB RAM, which is just incredible for a mouse-driver suite. The price is bound to come down once it hits the streets, but it is, while $60 is a lot for a mouse, already of excellent value at that price!
