The Rise Mode Gamer Line is a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor. It is only available in the 240 GB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Rise Mode Gamer Line interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the SM2259XT2 from Silicon Motion, a DRAM cache is not available. Rise Mode has installed 232-layer TLC NAND flash on the Gamer Line, the flash chips are made by Micron. Please note that this SSD is sold in multiple variants with different NAND flash or controller, which could affect performance, the "Notes" section at the end of this page has more info. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. The Gamer Line is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 535 MB/s and 435 MB/s write; random IO reaches 40K IOPS for read and 86K for writes.
The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to one year, which is quite short for the SSD industry. The TBW rating for the Rise Mode Gamer Line 240 GB is unknown, too.
