The XPG SX6000 Lite is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on December 18th, 2018. It is available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. This page reports specifications for the 256 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the XPG SX6000 Lite interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the RTS5763DL from Realtek, a DRAM cache is not available. XPG has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the SX6000 Lite, the flash chips are made by Micron. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are handled more quickly. The SX6000 Lite is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s and 900 MB/s write; random IO reaches 100K IOPS for read and 170K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 70 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. XPG guarantees an endurance rating of 120 TBW, a relatively low value compared to other SSDs.
