Bitspower Shows Off its Liquid Cooling Prowess at Computex

Liquid cooling major Bitspower, which sells both DIY and AIO liquid cooling solutions under its own brand, as well as serves as OEM for other brands, came out with a comprehensive lineup of new products at the 2023 Computex. We begin our stroll of their booth with the Summit lineup of CPU water-blocks and CPU area monoblocks. The company showed us their Summit series LGA4677 block for Intel Xeon W workstations, made of nickel-plated copper and POM acetal tops. These completely dwarf the company's Summit series blocks for AMD sWRX8/sTRX4 Threadripper sockets. The company also showed off a series of CPU area monoblocks. These are motherboard model-specific rather than socket-specific, because they have to be tailored not just for the socket, but also the components in its vicinity, such as CPU VRM.

The innovative new Summit M Silent is designed to reduce noise caused due to coolant flow (by bubbles and vortexes). This is essentially a nickel-plated copper plate that guides coolant through the micro-fin lattice. While the block material is copper with acrylic top, these blocks have additional brushed aluminium top-plates. The Summit M Pure lacks this feature, and is a typical copper+acetal block. Both the Summit M Pure and Summit M Silent come in Socket LGA1700 and Socket AM5 variants. The AMD variants have design-level optimization for the MCM layout of "Raphael," "Vermeer," and "Matisse." Bitspower also showed us a plethora of new fittings, including 45° extenders, 90° extenders, rotary fittings, and static ones. These come in four color options—black, brass, white, and chrome. All four are made of brass. The company also showed us their CR series flat-type and cuboidal reservoirs with provision for integrated pumps.

Thermaltake's Cooling Products Hands-on: Analog Dashboard, Stackable SwaFan EX Series, ToughAir Dual-Stack Cooler

Thermaltake unleashed a wealth of new PC cooling products across a whole range of form-factors and applications. The star attraction, though, is a cool new accessory the company calls the Pacific TF3 Liquid Cooling System Dashboard. This accessory is intended to be installed in place of the rear 120 mm case-fan, and plumbed to your DIY liquid-cooling setup. It puts out real-time analog readouts of the ambient temperature inside the case, the coolant temperature, and coolant pressure, through three analog gauges.

The company updated the stackable SwaFan line of radiator fans. These fans can be "joined at the hip" in clusters of up to three, so you can ventilate a 360 mm radiator without cables sticking out of each individual fan. With the SwaFan EX, the inter-fan "bridge" handles PWM power, as well as addressable RGB. Thermaltake made improvements to inter-fan coupling by leveraging magnetic joints (similar to a MagSafe connector); adding detachability to the impeller (making it easy to clean); and introducing two sets of ARGB LEDs (the first one inside the impeller hub, and the second one along the bore of the frame), with a total of 20 diodes per fan. The SwaFan EX comes in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes.

be quiet! 2023 Thermal Pastes and Light Wings White Fans Pictured

Also at the 2023 International CES, be quiet! showed off its new and upcoming thermal interface materials and new Light Wings lines of case/radiator fans. The DC2 PRO is an enthusiast-grade liquid-metal thermal interface material for high-performance applications, targeting overclockers who know how to handle liquid metal. The company wouldn't put out thermal conductivity numbers but mentioned that the DC2 PRO should be competitive with the best liquid-metal TIMs out there (north of 70 W/mK). The DC2 (non-PRO) is a conventional ceramic base TIM that's electrically non-conductive, and can be used with bare copper surfaces (such as coolers with direct-touch heatpipes). We expect this one's conductivity to be north of 10 W/mK.

be quiet! also showed off its Light Wings White 140 mm fans in two variants, one with a standard RPM range, and another with an undisclosed high-RPM limit. These fans feature high-endurance dynamic bearings, 4-pin PWM control, and 3-pin ARGB control for their addressable RGB LED diffusers along the bore of the frame. These are sold in packs of 3.

ADATA Caster RGB DDR5-8000 Memory, ACE-6400, Lancer ROG and SD 8.0 Card Pictured

Last year it felt like DDR5-6000 to DDR5-6400 was the top of the PC memory food-chain, and in a year, this has been pushed up to DDR5-8000. Platforms such as the 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" can already handle such high memory speeds, and ADATA has designed such a memory module that includes an Intel XMP 3.0 profile that enables the advertised DDR5-8000 speed at the click of a button. The new ADATA XPG Caster RGB DDR5-8000 features a chunky aluminium heatspreader that's crowned by a silicone addressable RGB LED diffuser. It's been tested for compatibility with both Intel and AMD platforms, however only an XMP 3.0 profile is included.

Elsewhere across the ADATA booth, we also came across the company's latest SD 8.0 memory card that uses PCI-Express 3.0 x2 physical layer and NVMe 1.3 protocol layer, to offer sequential speeds of up to 1600 MB/s reads, with up to 1300 MB/s writes, including LDPC ECC. The card comes in 256 GB and 512 GB capacities, and is backwards-compatible with UHS-I devices. Back at the memory section, we found an XPG + ASUS ROG co-branded Lancer ROG DDR5 memory that comes at speeds of up to DDR5-6600. Lastly, there's the ACE-6400, a mid-range DDR5-6400 memory module targeting creators, that runs at DDR5-5600 native (JEDEC), and its advertised DDR5-6400 using an XMP 3.0 profile.
