Rollerdrome Now Available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC

Private Division and Roll7 today announced that Rollerdrome, the imaginative third-person shooter-skater, is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Rollerdrome is a thrilling single-player game which pits you in intense arena combat. Melding fluid movement, visceral combat, and technical tricks, the title aims to create an experience described as "flow-state mayhem." Can you battle your way to the top and become the next Rollerdrome champion?

"Looking back to the conception of the game, we wanted Rollerdrome to be fast, fluid, and exciting - we were shown an early gameplay prototype by the Creative Director Paul Rabbitte, and seeing the potential, we quickly assembled an incredibly talented team to turn what was a promising concept into a visceral and stylish game," said Tom Hegarty, Founder and Studio Head at Roll7. This Week in Gaming (Week 47)

With Black Friday week coming up, we have a slow week of new game releases, although there's at least one bigger release this week (on Steam), compared to all the other games. This week's biggest release has something to do with asteroids and space ships. This is followed by time loops, fewer words, strange syllables, ninjas and co-op backrooms. Make what you want of that, but it's what's on offer this coming week.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series / This week's major release / Monday 20 November

This Week in Gaming (Week 45)

With autumn in full swing, the first full week of November brings a bunch of new games along with it and this week's AAA title is the third in the series and appears to have something to do with duty. As for this week's other titles, we can look forward to managing some kind of sports teams, crafting robots, erasing names, messing around in dungeons and finally some old school action.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III / This week's AAA title / Friday 10 November
Modern Warfare III celebrates the 20th anniversary of Call of Duty with one of the greatest collections of Multiplayer maps ever assembled - both fan favorites and all new ones. All 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been modernized with new modes and gameplay features and will be available at launch to get everyone started, while over 12 all-new core 6v6 maps will fuel post-launch live seasons.

Stargate: Timekeepers Episode One Released

A free Episode One of Season One of Stargate: Timekeepers deployed today on Steam. Pre-orders for the stealth, real-time tactics, commandos-style game created by Slitherine in official collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios are also now available.

As autumn continues, we have another week of big game releases to look forward to, hopefully with something that'll suit most gamers here. This week's AAA title involves a lot of sand, wars and monuments. As for the rest of this week's new games, you can be a tycoon, a driver of very expensive motor vehicles, craft your own stick, pretend to be a starship captain or you could be a monster slayer. This Week in Gaming (Week 40)

As we enter October—as well as autumn in the northern hemisphere—things kick off with a fairly big AAA release that involves assassins. The rest of the week is full of new games that range from lighting lamps to choo-choos and exploring unknown galaxies, to thieves and sword action to some kind of ice related sport. In other words, yet another jam packed week of new releases to look forward to.

MechWarrior 5: Clans Stomping to PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2024 from Piranha Games

Piranha Games revealed MechWarrior 5: Clans today, a new stand alone MechWarrior game coming to PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles next year. MechWarrior 5: Clans, while retaining the MechWarrior 5 designation, represents a transformative step forward in the MechWarrior 5 franchise. This Week in Gaming (Week 37)

As we enter the second week of September the release of new games is taking a bit of an autumn break. As such, we have no huge releases to look forward to this coming week, but it doesn't mean there aren't any new game releases. Expect a rather eclectic mix of games this week, ranging from co-op tavern defence to mythical forces and umbrellas to deceit, bombs and swords.

This Week in Gaming (Week 35)

All of a sudden, it's the end of August, but the month keeps delivering when it comes to games. This coming week is admittedly a bit slower than the past few weeks and we get to make do with a AA title as far as headline games goes. That said, the rest of this week's releases involve seas of all kinds, crossfires, great houses, corporations and a reimagined game from back in the day.

This Week in Gaming (Week 32)

The month of August keeps delivering when it comes to new game releases and this week's AAA title appears to involve a lot of sand and dust, as well as fallen gods. The rest of the releases to look forward to include everything from wrestling to enjoying the apocalypse, to forest bandits, a musical and being a mechanic in space. Last week we managed to please 58 percent of you, which was a new record, but we don't expect to reach those kinds of numbers this week.

Angry Cat Studios Launches USC: Counterforce

Developer Angry Cat Studios and Publisher Firesquid have officially launched their turn-based squad tactics title USC: Counterforce into Early Access on Steam. With hours of gameplay already available, players that dive into the game will be able to join a deep strategical experience with multiple missions, customizable commando forces and a powerful alien threat to destroy.

This Week in Gaming (Week 30)

After a slow week of new releases, we're in for an extremely packed week this coming week, as we have no less than two AAA titles and several other big releases. The first AAA title this coming week is a sequel from Gearbox with the second AAA title having been out on the PlayStation consoles for quite some time, but it's been given some new sparkly features on PC. We also have a space game that we know some of you have been looking forward to, as well as a time travel game and a few other little gems.

Remnant II / This Week's First AAA Title / Tuesday 25 July
Remnant II is the sequel to the best-selling game Remnant: From the Ashes that pits survivors of humanity against new deadly creatures and god-like bosses across terrifying worlds. Play solo or co-op with two other friends to explore the depths of the unknown to stop an evil from destroying reality itself. Hellboy Web of Wyrd Gameplay Demoed in New Trailer

A new trailer for Hellboy Web of Wyrd was unveiled yesterday during the IGN x ID@Xbox Digital Showcase, giving us a brand-new glimpse at the upcoming action title. The trailer showed new locations, a look at some of Hellboy's fighting moves, and some of the characters he'll likely be throwing his very large fists at. All of this came wrapped up in a traditional comic-style setting, with inspiration heavily drawn from Hellboy comics creator Mike Mignola.

We had the chance to chat to two developers from Upstream Arcade, Adam Langridge and Patrick Martin, about how the art direction of Hellboy Web of Wyrd, how Mignola's presence is felt throughout the game, and the work put in to craft a fresh story while remaining faithful to the Hellboy series.

This coming week's game releases start off slow, but then ramps up with multiple AA and AAA titles. This week's AAA title is from Capcom and involves Sci-Fi dinosaurs of all things. The rest of this week's new releases involve supernatural adventures, turn-based tactics, a Japanese RPG game remake, bicycles and more.

With this week being the 4th of July in the US, it appears that we don't have too many game releases to look forward to, but we managed to dig out a few new releases regardless. This week's AA title comes from Japan, with all that that entails. The rest of this week's releases include some strategy, some shooting, some tagging, some climbing, some darkness and some fear, so make of that what you want. To our US readers, enjoy your holiday this coming week.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie / This week's AA title / Friday 7 July
What destinies await these three fateful figures? As we are about to enter the second to last week of June, we got another packed week of new releases, with this week's AAA title being an action RTS game that may involve things exploding out of your chest. The rest of next week's release contains a mix of mostly several new FPS games, but also some Mayan action and a different take on the racing game genre.

This Week in Gaming (Week 24)

This coming week we have a AAA racing title coming for those that are into games which involve driving vehicles at dangerously high speeds. For those of you that prefer something else, we have space battles, RPGs, Will Smith, horror and theme park related games, although several of those titles seem to incorporate danger and high speeds as well.

Ubisoft Announces Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Today, during the Summer Game Fest live showcase, Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, an action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on 18th January, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Amazon Luna as well as Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Xbox and Amazon Luna.

In this brand-new adventure, players will embody Sargon, a young, gifted warrior, and member of an elite group called The Immortals. As they are sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, they will explore Mount Qaf, a once wondrous place, now cursed and hostile. Sargon and his brothers-in-arms will soon discover that time itself will be a treacherous foe and that the world balance must be restored.

This Week in Gaming (Week 21)

To call this a busy week of game releases would be an understatement and there should be something for everyone except those that want a new sports or racing game of some kind. This week's AAA title is all about precious things, but we also have games covering the post-human world on earth, rescue missions, hammers of war, the colour yellow and snakes, for those that are into those kinds of things. Oddly enough, most of the games this week are released on Tuesday, so we included a whole bunch of new releases on the same day of week this time around due to this, not because we hate the other days of the week.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum / This week's AAA title / Thursday 25 May
Play as Gollum on his quest to retrieve his Precious. You will need to climb the mountains of Mordor, sneak around Mirkwood and make difficult choices. Who will gain the upper hand: the cunning Gollum or the innocent Smeagol?

This Week in Gaming (Week 20)

As we enter the middle of May, this week's major release—which is hard to call a AAA title—is all about humans and a dog. The rest of this coming week's releases is a mix of everything from action RPGs and alien bugs to laboratory experiments and Lego. Could there be something here for you? Read on to find out.

A unique blend of puzzle-solving and action-platforming. Play a lone Shiba Inu charged with commanding massive, marching crowds to the goal in Story Mode, or browse a wide array of user-made levels crafted via the in-game Stage Creator!

This Week in Gaming (Week 18)

As we leave the month of April behind us and move into May, we kick off the new month with a AAA horror first person shooter from Bethesda. The first week of May also brings a AAA 4X title, giant turtles, a Halo like game that adds an RTS element, multiple adventure titles and a game that's all about running away from conscription in the Russian army. Not a bad start to the month of May, if we may say so.

Redfall / This month's AAA title / Tuesday 2 May
The town of Redfall is under siege by a legion of vampires who have cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors, slay alone or squad up in open-world FPS action.
