Samsung Launches its 950 Series 3D LED Displays

Samsung launched its latest 950 series 3D LED monitors in Korea. It was first displayed to the public at this year's CES event, back in January. The series consists of two 27-inch displays, the 27TA950 with its asymmetric stand design, and the 27TA750 with its centrally-located stand. Both monitors feature full-HD resolution, HDTV tuners, 3D display support (refresh rate not known), and use LED for uniform illumination and high dynamic contrast ratio. The panel is backed with a host of features, including Samsung Ultra Clear Panel Technology, Samsung TV Apps and Smart Hub, and USB to share content both ways to/from the TV. In Korea, the 27TA950 is priced at 8.9 Million Won (US $8,000), while the 27TA750 goes for 8.4 Million Won, or $7,500.

It's really hard to find a screen that has a wall mount holes... I have my current Samsung monitor mounted on wall and it's great. More space on my desk and a bit further away so i'm not looking at it from 20cm...

ummmm...am I missing something here ? OVER $8000 ! I could get a much larger 3D HDTV for less than $8000, it looks more like a monitor to me, TV or monitor, it doesn't deserve that price tag, I mean it's just outrageous for such a small display.

8k and 7.5k? That's very close to the price of an Scalable Display Technologies 4x projector Eyefinity setup.

what? something is wrong... 8000 dollars for just the illumination source (led) and 3D? are you sure those aren't OLED's? cuz' LED monitors are just some regular LCD's but with LED's instead of CCFL:banghead:

For 8000$ this should better be true 3D monitor that don't require stupid glasses.

In other news, dudes from AkihabaraNews made a little typo and added an extra 0 to the price, both in $ and Yuani. ;)

it wont be 700 either maybe 500-550 (because of all the "other features streaming both ways phone/tv/tab/computer wireless detection/ 3d ect") (and yes after they are OUT not preorder and in one country) if you look at the highest end monitors out now (w/o the other stuff) they are 39X and below. Also these 2 monitors aren't all of them.

The rest can be seen here

Im sure they don't all have 3D or the exact same specs but the mid one is prolly what most will be looking for as it too has a spec bump. Plus the price should drop a 50 bux by the end of the year like it always does but 8grand on the source site is an obvious misprint even with streaming ect.

There's some confirmation on other website that it will be 240 hz(It's possible with the new displayport 1.2). Remember, there's no Dual Link DVI on the 750 series. I take that as rumor for now, but they definitly won't be 60hz.
