Verbatim Announces Store 'n' Go USB Car Audio Storage for Car Audio

The majority of music nowadays is mainly stored and played using MP3 files. With car radios increasingly supporting USB ports, Verbatim has specially developed a USB drive that can fit perfectly into a car radio USB slot, making it the ideal way to store and listen to all your favourite MP3 music while motoring. No bigger than a Euro coin, the innovative USB drive is barely noticeable once inserted into a USB port and can store up to 2000 audio tracks - more than enough for any road trip. The 8GB Verbatim Store 'n' Go Audio USB is available in stores now at €18 (8GB) (RRP).

In being only 17.15mm long x 14.85mm wide x 7.7mm deep, when inserted into the USB port only 5mm of the Verbatim Store 'n' Go Audio USB is left protruding, meaning that it can be kept in the car radio on a semi-permanent basis and used as a long-term storage extension. No damaged USB or USB Port any longer hitting the Storage exidently. And as with any standard USB drive, Verbatim's Audio USB can also be used in any computer or gadget with a USB 2.0 port - anything from netbooks, table PCs, digital picture frames to desktop PCs.
Features:
  • 8GB storage capacity
  • Only 2g in weight
  • Smaller than a Euro coin, only 5mm is left protruding when inserted
  • Can be left semi-permanently in radios, laptops, netbooks, digital photo frames etc.
  • Works with PC and Mac operating systems

I've been using 8GB DeLock for ages which was the same size as this one. It died some time ago but i've salvaged 8GB microSD card from it and i'm now using this card in HTC Wildfire. That's what i call recycling :)

These micro drives are great for cars. They look like they are a part of the car and not like something sticking out of it...

i've had a 16GB micro SDHC card reader on my keys for ages now, and its not much bigger than these.

I'm still impressed however, because its small, 8GB is enough, and its not too pricey.

wow that's tiny. I got a microSD adaptor thats about 2/3 the size of a standard usb flash drive but I just know having that in my car it would get broke. I'd probably accidentally hit it while shifting gears lol. This thing would solve that problem. Are there any larger capacities coming out soon? 16GB would rock, 32Gb would be amazing! I'm very picky when it comes to music and like to have it at a really high bit rate. however I can live with 128-192 bitrates. prefer 256-320ish.

one down side... some laptop users may mistake it for the transmitter to their mouse! lol

I know that you guys (TPU) just copied and pasted their PR. It should be mandatory for a company that does business outside its borders to have a native speaker handy. A lot of this stuff wouldn't hit the internet.
