SteelSeries and Valve Announce QCK+ DOTA 2 Edition Mousepad

SteelSeries, the leading global manufacturer of gaming peripherals, today introduced the first in a series of co-licensed products with Valve Corporation, creator of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source). The SteelSeries QcK+ DotA 2 Edition provides players with a smooth and consistent glide surface and a non-slip rubber base that keeps the mousepad in place regardless of the gaming environment. Optimized to achieve precision and accuracy for optical and laser technology, the oversized mousepad is 17.7 x 15.7 x 0.08 inches and features the vibrant colors of the Dota 2 black and red game logo.
"With such a highly buzzed about game and tournament championship taking place during GamesCom, we're excited to bring a quality, co-branded gaming surface to DotA fans and players," said Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO.

Available in Q4, the new QcK+ is $19.99 USD / €19.99 MSRP. For more information, visit the product page.

The DotA clone to take over DotA itself?

Mousepad is good, but a bit pricey

It's a fact Blizzard and valve love each other. Last two dedicated PC developers.

You might want to take Blizzard out of the list because they sold their soul to Activision.

Nan thats like saying Valve sold the soul to EA when they let them publish them. In fact valve has had council releases and blizzard has had like one back in the 90s? O.o

Blizzard doesn't let Activision push them around. :)

I have seen what Blizzard did to Starcraft 2 and I cannot agree with your statement. Region locks? Really?

As someone who uses partially rotted, giveaway mouse pads (from companies that went out of business in the 90's), it's difficult for me to appreciate this I guess.

Slight correction. Blizzard didn't sell their souls to Activision, Vivendi Universal did when they merged with Activision. I can't say I was happy about that deal though, Blizzard has suffered because of it.

I thought the region locks for SC2 were evaporating soon.

Likewise. I'm using one that my wife commandeered from her old dear many moons ago  I don't see the need to change (For the record - I'm a heterosexual male, honest :p)

I like my mice like I like my women - with balls.

What? I couldn't say 'with integrated laser diode.'

I like mine easy clean ;)

Ninja back to topic:

The first time I heard about mouse mats this size, I was like "dayyyem". 17" x 15" is seriously big man! Is a square mousemat really the way to go? I would have though a rectangle would be best.
