SmartDisk Introduces New ByteSize Tiny Hard Drive

SmartDisk Corporation, a leading provider of portable network and multimedia storage products and technologies, today introduced ByteSize, a 2" x 2" external USB hard drive.
"Our new ByteSize drive offers the perfect combination of size and storage," says Charles Klinker, Vice President, Marketing for SmartDisk. "It's small enough to slip into your pocket while offering the capacity to store hours of video or music and thousands of photos."

ByteSize joins the SmartDisk line of portable hard drives designed for users who require convenient, portable storage to back up critical data, transport and transfer videos, music, photos and files, and free up valuable hard disk space on existing computers. ByteSize is a "mass storage class" peripheral, requiring no driver installation when used with operating systems like Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Windows XP and Windows Me.

Pricing and Availability

Suggested retail price for the 6GB model is $119.99 and $149.99 for the 8GB version. ByteSize is now available through retailers and distributors as well as through the company's Web site at http://www.smartdisk.com.
