i don´t see any benefit of this dock , since I/O and power cable will be infront of the release button .... and if it would be turned arround so you have access from the front(case) the backplane is missing ......., also the construction should be fliped too (SSD I/O) to case inner

if they make one with a hot swap connector panel so you could run both ssd off, say a molex it could be a good product but this design i just see lots of clumsy cable clutter.

Can only see people using this who absolutley cant spare another 3.5" HDD bay.

it would be useful in something like a silverstone sg-07/sg-08. only 1 3.5"drive bay.

yeh fair point I hadn't considered small form factor cases with limited numbers of bays.

i would expect something like this, with a 5 1/4 frame eventually



btw almost all major SSD´s are shipped with a frame usually
