Max Payne 3 PC Has "Gloriously Increased" Detail

Max Payne fans among PC gamers are in for a visual treat with Max Payne 3, for which they don't have to wait six more months than console gamers, according to a latest news release by Rockstar. The PC version of Max Payne 3 will not only launch on the same day as its console counterpart (May 29th in North America and June 1st in Europe), but will also feature "gloriously increased resolution and graphical detail in both the epic story and the explosive multiplayer modes." The publisher then went on to release three screenshots from the PC version of the game. It didn't go into much more detail, saying that it will talk about special graphics hardware support and enhancements, as well as system specs a little closer to the game's launch.

Higher resolution images can be accessed at the source.

Radeon HD6850\GTX460 - 150FPS

Suprised? -_-

Im just happy they actually use this advantage for good benefits.
Rockstar basically saying "with this game, we won't screw PC gamers like we used to"

I've yet to see a good Rockstar PC port. Frankly higher resolution isn't something they should be bragging about.

Completely Bonkers
Looks very "grunge", "rough", "trailer park" even. Max used to be a little more suave.

I just dont know.

The graphics level it is stuck nowadays becouse of the limited power in the 360 and PS3
and if this is goint to be game released for the console too I wont expect great graphics.

I mean; almost like Crysis 2, game looks Ok but is far away to have a really good quality.

I hope that at least wont´be a cheap imitation of somethign else.

I really loved the gameplay of Max 1 and 2, add in a noir feel and I was hooked, even if I didn't care too much for the storyline (yes, really the part most people liked about the game)

this feels off, The doom and gloom for the first 2 seems lost and instead we're looking at scarface mr. clean style.

we'll see how the reviews fall though, if the gameplay is good enough I might forget that its max payne and just enjoy myself.

Looking at those screens they're flat out lying to get us to buy it. Muddy textures everywhere like every other console port. Even JC2 had better palm leafs.

It doesn't look amazing or graphics that would challenge single GPU's from the 500 series or 6000 series, but I will have to wait till I play it and see it in person, its nice to see a publisher pay additional attention to the PC version.

The town looks exactly like Dead Island, looks ok but nothing special. I remember when max payne 1 came out in 2001 and the graphics were great at the time. And it ran great on a crappy socket 478 with 512Mb of ram. At least Max Payne was original and the shooting mechanics were different to other games.

Hopefully they keep that Max Payne originality

I ran this game with an 870 Mhz (OC'ed) PIII and 384MB RAM, and it ran fluently
