Phanteks Unveils TC14PE Black CPU Cooler
Phanteks launched itself to the industry with the TC14PE line of fan heatsinks, however the variants it launched only included chrome/silver, blue, red, and orange. The company just listed a new addition, the PH-TC14PE_BK (black). This model uses black color aluminum fin stacks, and a black colored impellers in its fans.
Nothing else changes, with the TC14PE being Phantek's flagship product, an aluminum fin twin-tower heatsink, in which five nickel-plated copper heat pipes pass through the CPU base in a U-shape, with its arms passing through two independent aluminum fin stacks, which are ventilated by two 140 mm fans (1300 RPM @ 19.5 dBA). Measuring 159x140x171 mm (LxWxH), the TC14PE_BK weighs 1250 g. It should cost similar to the other variants, at 79.90 Euros.

OH I see it is the fan wires with some special thing for them cool.
At some stage liquid cooling is the only option and so I'm abandoning large air coolers in my next build.
and now the fans hang low
other than that it looks bloody good

the phanteks it's equal to the h100, but with an RPM at 1230 (3x140mm fans, Push/Push/Pull configuration) vs 2600 (4x 120mm fans, Push/Pull configuration), on a Core i7 920@2.66GHz with 1.2V and 1.25QPI/Dram (VTT), in a test bench platform at 22 degrees celcius. At 3.4GHz it's 56 vs 58, at 4.0 it's 64 vs 67 !
This product it's simply phenomenal
I'm still waiting for something to beat my mugen 2 in push pull.
Yes it has the 120.2 radiator but that's an easy fit on most cases today.
