ASUS Outs WiDi-Equipped P8Z77-I Deluxe Variant

ASUS released the P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD, a variant of the P8Z77-I Deluxe socket LGA1155 motherboard based on the Intel Z77 Express chipset, in the mini-ITX form-factor. Essentially identical to the original, its WLAN controller features Intel Wireless Display Technology (WiDi), which lets you stream high-definition video to displays and projectors wirelessly. The P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD features a 10-phase Digi+ CPU VRM, two DDR3 DIMM slots, a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, two each of SATA 6 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s ports, and connectivity that includes 6-channel analog and 8-channel digital audio, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort display outputs, and a number of USB 3.0 ports. ASUS could charge a small premium over the original's US $199 price-tag.

Very good motherboard.
Managed to get my i7 2600K to 4.5 Ghz without too much tinkering, which is amazing since this is a miniITX motherboard which is the size of my open hand.

I wonder if the original will be discounted a bit now?

This is really good. WiDi is such a nice feature. All it needs now is a little better sound chip like the ROG boards, and you have the perfect LGA1155 mini-ITX solution.

Agreed, this would look great in a BitFeenix Prodigy in RoG colours.

Meh . . I see no reason to upgrade over the original. If they made all the SATA ports 6Gb's I would grab it in a heart beat, this seems like little more than a gimik to me!

I was able to get my 3770K to 4.75 stable on one of these.

[H]@RD5TUFFI really recommend the deluxe.
I am hoping that maybe by the time Haswell floats in we will see some form of ROG board out for mini-itx, but that is me really hoping.
