Headsets?! Are they really out of the SSD market?
It's been a while since I saw an SSD from G.skill

G.Skill is doing fine in the memory Biz but they see Corsair and others relabeling other products and figure they might as well cash in on gullible consumers.

All of these product "distractions" such as PSUs, keyboards, PC cases, H2O coolers, etc. have made money for Corsair but cost them some reputation with chronic quality and operational issues. Asus is in the same boat just different products instead of sticking to mobos which they know.

Most of these companies don't care so much about their rep as they do the revenues generated. When things go south the company CEO just takes their Platinum Parachute worht millions and moves to the next company where they start the unsustainable process all over again. For this short-sightedness these CEOs are viewed as "leaders" for their ability to increase revenues before the companies crash from bad management.

What problems does Corsair have? I think they are one of the few companies that have more or less an entirely solid product line up.

Agreed, Corsair usually takes the best manufacturers parts and brings them under one company that I have had a singularly incredible experience with RMA'ing parts.

Weird that the more I keep hearing about the death of PC gaming from the loud talkers, the number of companies that add/expand their PC gaming product lines increases.

Every year the PC gaming market has been dying according to some idiot. I suspect that they or their employers have invested in the mobile market.

That being said, good luck to G.skill branching out into new products. I like their memory, might plunk down some cash on a peripheral or 2 if they are priced right.

Actually, Corsair RAM is their only product I ever had to RMA, one 4GB 1600 stick, and it was replaced promptly and without question. I love their cases, PSUs, and liquid coolers. Yes, some of them are re-branded products, but Corsair has a track record of using the best O.E.M.s to make their line-up of products, and their cases are designed in-house. They also provide some of the longest warranties in the business, and world class customer service. My next Corsair purchase might be a Vengeance K95 keyboard, the only one I've ever seen that meets all my requirements, available tomorrow.
