The ASRock-Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Series Gaming i7 is currently the highest performance gaming motherboard available. Built for serious gamers with Intel's Z170 chipset. Our motherboard is designed with 12 power phases and supports the 6th generation Intel Core processors and the latest DDR4 memory modules. This powerful combination allows the ASRock-Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Series Gaming i7 to dominate your competition while playing the most complex PC games. In addition to the three native graphic output options, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort, power users can further maximize graphics performance via the motherboard's four PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots that fully support 3-way CrossFireX or Quad SLI.

Superior onboard LAN and audio is essential for high performance gaming motherboards, that's why ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming i7 is equipped with Dual gigabit Intel LAN chips, plus ASRock's new proprietary audio solution Purity Sound 3. As for the data transfer and storage side, this professional series gaming motherboard holds ten SATA3 connectors, three SATA Express connectors. I recently got my first ASrock motherboard (z97 extreme9) and well I love it (just wish it was not blue). My
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK started to die on me and I needed something to hold me over till it was fixxed.

Its funny cause I paid like 400.00 for the G1 back when it came out ... the extreme9 only cost 189.99 and it has so much more on it vs the G1.

G1 ... No M.2 slots at all. Extreme 9 .. has 2x One is A PCIe 3.0 x4 and one is A Sata 3. Winner Extreme9

G1 .. Comes with A PCI slot Wifi card ... (takes Up slot) Extreme 9 has A 1 mini-PCIe slot and holes in IO for antina ... Have too buy A wifi card but it dont take up a PCI slot and block airflow Winner Extreme9

Both have PLX chips TIE

Onboard Sound G1 has C.L Soundcore chip ... Asrock realtek ..... Winner G1 .... However the sound died about 5 months after I had it and end up having too use my CL Sound Blaster Zx (then their were more issues)

But thats Just on z97boards ... Look at X99 and Skylakeboards ... Hell look at x79boards ... Asrock really gives you more and they are adding and pushing what can be on boards ... I am still impressed at the X79 extreme11 and the X99 extreme 11 ..... Cant wait too see what is on the Z170 Skylake Extreme 11.

Just one step behind Z170 OC Formula. This one should be the best choice for those who like red theme. Better than Maximus VIII series I think.

Cheaper for sure...NOT Better than the M8E.

That's like comparing a Lexus IS F to a Maxima. Both impressive, but the IS F wins hands down.

Sorry I meant the look, forgot to specify that. M8E reminds me of Mark 1 from Iron Man.

Very loud board. At least the theme is consistent. Fatal1ty still has his name out there.
