Got designs on a Gaming Z the 1st day it hits. My EVGA 970 (SC) fans are completely spun down at 60C, it's curious your GTX1070 spins 36% at 37C.

I use MSI afterburner, I created a fan profile, I like to keep the GPU cool in idle as well.
It idles around 28 degrees C with 24C room temp, fans spinning around 1000rpm.

Why though? Its MADE TO run with no fan to 60c. Idle around mid to upper 30s depending on room temp.

At the moment I have 25.5 C room temp and I don't see any reason to let my pc blow warm air out of the backside and letting the hardware temps running up to 50 or 60 degrees idle, so I just let all the fans , including cpu fan spin around 1000rpm, so all components stay cool, even when idle, and the air coming out of the case isn't that warm now. I don't hear the fans spin anyway because I use a large fan in the room to cool myself.

IIRC the fans on my card start spinning at 50s if I don't use afterburner.

They spin at 60C. Its on their website.

It may be a cooler temp but you are still dissipating the same amount of wattage so it shouldn't heat your room up more. There is a difference between heat and temperature. For example, a yellow flame on a lighter is the same temp as a yellow flame in a bonfire, but the bo fire has a lot more energy.
