MSI MPG 322URX Unveiled as a New 4K, 240 Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor
MSI has unveiled a new 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate, dubbed the MPG 322URX. The monitor, targeted squarely at gamers, boasts a respectable set of features and performance. MSI claims 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which might make the monitor suitable even for professional use as well.
As mentioned previously, the 31.5-inch display is plenty expansive for most use cases, and utilizes the QD-OLED display technology. This allows the monitor to have an impressive maximum brightness, which MSI claims to be 1,000 nits at a 3% APL along with an HDR True Black 400 rating. Unsurprisingly, the inherent benefits of OLED panels are all present, including excellent contrast ratios facilitated by true blacks, and near-instantaneous response times. MSI offers a three-year warranty on the panel, which is good enough considering industry standards. The monitor features a decent I/O selection, including dual USB-A 3.2 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-B port, a USB-C port with up to 98 watts of power delivery, DisplayPort 2.1, and dual HDMI 2.1 ports. The product has been unveiled in China as of now, and a global launch can be expected soon. Unfortunately, however, there is no word on pricing yet, but considering MSI's typical pricing strategy, we can expect it to be affordable enough for what it offers.
