Heatkiller IV for AMD Ryzen Threadripper Now Available

WaterCool announced retail availability of HeatKiller IV water-blocks for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. Designed for AMD sockets TR4 and SP3r2, with micro-fin lattices at just the right places to effectively cool the active dies of the Threadripper MCM, the block comes in four variants - Pure Copper, Copper-Nickel, Acryl-Nickel Black, and Acryl-Nickel Red. The Pure Copper variant combines an exposed copper main block with a copper top; the Nickel-Copper variant is nearly identical to this, except the block and top are nickel-plated; the Acryl-Nickel Black combines a nickel-plated copper main block with an acrylic top that's been framed by black anodized aluminium, while the Acryl-Nickel Red is its twin with a red colored frame.

The Pure Copper and Copper-Nickel variants boast of a staggering 1 kg weight (that's a lot for a water-block). The acrylic variants are a little over half the weight. Besides being see-through, the Acrylic variants are studded with RGB LED strips that have a standard 4-pin RGB header. All variants measure 118 mm x 78 mm x 18 mm, and feature standardized G 1/4-inch ports (fittings not included). There's a healthy 25 mm gap between the two ports so you can dabble with some of the fancier fittings in the market. The Pure Copper variant is priced at 89.95€, while the Nickel-Copper, Acryl-Nickel Black, and Acryl-Nickel Red are priced at 99.95€ (prices include taxes).

Everytime I go to read interesting news, I open it only to be reminded that the pictures that I want to view are on the main page and not here and then I die a little inside.

@W1zzard Please fix it so that I dont have to (cause I dont want to) go to the main site to view the news article.

I've always loved Watercool's Heatkiller line, beautiful aesthetics, and best of all, it's not EK, so unlike 9 out of 10 watercooling builds, by using Watercool products, you'll actually have something unique. The ONLY thing that could prevent this product from being excellent is if the area of the fin array. From HardOCP's testing, the EK threadripper block has the exact identicle fin array area as their intel blocks, and as you might have assumed, the performance suffers. XSPC and Phanteks, however (Bykski is another top notch threadripper performer), have a much larger fin array, and because of that they excel far beyond EK's block....if anyone is truly interested in this, I'd keep an eye on HardOCP's review, because as of the present, no one offers reviews of the same scrutiny and quality.

I really love the look of these hefty blocks, specifically the nickle and copper one. I wish it came in all black too (non-acrylic).

Are they showing for you in this thread? If not, that is what im referring to. I dont want to go to a whole different webpage on the same site. If I click here I should see pictures of what the heatkiller looks like. Not click on a link to open main page TPU to see what heatkiller looks like.

It needs to be setup like the old way.

fullinfusionMan how I miss my the Heatkiller block, do you still have it @stinger608
I believe I do still have that block man. Not currently using it on anything, but it's such an awesome CPU block I'd be hard-pressed to part with it.
