DeepCool Intros New Ark 90 Electro Limited Edition Case
DeepCool today introduced the GamerStorm New Ark 90 Electro limited edition case. The company is only manufacturing 100 pieces of the variant, which is characterized by a racy orange color scheme dominating the smaller left (metallic) portion of the case, including the left side-panel, the left top-panel with its illuminated vents, and more importantly, the motherboard tray and the PSU part of the bottom compartment. The orange motherboard tray is contrasted by black bits in the form of the 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive cage, the rear panel, and the rubber grommets along the tray. The rest of its feature-set is identical to the original, which debuted this January, and bagged a Red Dot design award. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I bet the real, finished article will be less impressive.
also may interfere with using the top as a coffee / end table and then trash / dust falls straight off in to them as well [why won't the plug go in all the way anymore ? ya its has collected and full of crap now ]
If the ports were on the front that's likely less convenient, and if you have a rampaging toddler, or enter full nerd rage mode and swing your chair around too fast (both a possibility for me), those front mounted ports are probably the likeliest targets to get hit.
Top mounted ports would be protected by the desk a bit. Granted, the only way to be safe is either full wireless, or to just forego a PC completely. These things are just big metal targets for damage.
You could also go with a USB hub from the back.
I guess when it gets down to it everywhere but in the back is at risk of a bumble . but you could see over time how the top ports could fill and collect trash and fill up or maybe a drink spilled down in to it [why I stay away from cases with open tops ] hard enough to keep crap / dust out from the inside to start with .
its al most like they look for you to spill something down on them and flood the insides easy . I guess when practical function design ideas run out you got to go way out , gimmick, or hype to make up the difference
then theres them thumb screws like a 30 $ case has wheres the nice hinged and lockable latch side doors at ? that use to be standard on solid well built practical cases .
looks kinda like that orange side opens on a hinged door ? then its on the back side where your not getting to the board and parts ??? is so they aint bragging on that

the black looks way more appealing to me in there vid .. it looks sharp for what it is
so sad that todays hardware relies on hype and gimmicks as there selling points [a shame ]
OUCH !!! 299$ OUCH !! [if this is the same case or the one here is a revision of it ] well you do get them thumb screws for that price I guess ...lol
