AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.8.1 Beta Drivers
AMD today released version 18.8.1 beta of its Radeon Software Adrenalin drivers that keep your graphics card's performance equal to that of a well/oiled machine (figuratively, of course). The new software version brings driver-level support and improvements for the upcoming (and highly awaited) Monster Hunter: World. for that game, this driver release promises up to 5% and 6% increased performance on AMD's RX Vega graphics card and RX 580, respectively, compared to AMD's 18.6.1 driver release at 1080p.
This driver also adds support for World of Warcraft : Battle for Azeroth, We Happy Few, and Madden NFL 19. Another interesting additions are the extended functions for the Vulkan API, supporting more commands than previous driver versions. As always, you can download these drivers right here on TPU - just follow the link below. Feel free to jump towards after the break for some more details on this driver release.DOWNLOAD:AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.8.1 Beta

Fixed Issues
- Fortnite may experience an application crash on game launch in Windows 7.
- Some games may experience a game crash or hang on multi GPU system configurations when changing or applying resolutions.
- Graphics and memory clock speeds may remain elevated or locked while gaming if video content is also playing on the system.
- Civilization VI may experience a game crash using DirectX 12 API on game or map launch.
- Samsung HMD Odyssey may experience intermittent black screens or flashing on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
- Cursor or system lag may be observed on some system configurations when two or more displays are connected and one display is powered off.
- Some games may experience instability or stutter when playing with FRTC and Instant Replay enabled.
- Toggling performance metrics while gaming on a non-native display resolution may cause the game to scale incorrectly.
- Radeon WattMan memory and frequency sliders may not list correct minimum values.
- Upgrade Advisor may fail to show up in Radeon Settings.
- Radeon FreeSync may fail to enable when playing Monster Hunter : World.
- Video profiles may not correctly apply on web browser video content.
- VK_EXT_descriptor_indexing
- This extension adds several small features which together enable applications to create large descriptor sets containing substantially all of their resources and selecting amongst those resources with dynamic (non-uniform) indexes in the shader.
VK_KHR_get_display_properties2 - This extension provides new entry points to query device display properties and capabilities in a way that can be easily extended by other extensions, without introducing any further entry points.
VK_KHR_8bit_storage - This extension allows use of 8-bit types in uniform and storage buffers and push constant blocks.
VK_KHR_draw_indirect_count - This extension allows an application to source the number of draw calls for indirect draw calls from a buffer.
VK_KHR_create_renderpass2 - This extension provides a new entry point to create render passes in a way that can be easily extended by other extensions through the substructures of render pass creation.
EXT_vertex_attribute_divisor - This extension allows instance-rate vertex attributes to be repeated for certain number of instances instead of advancing for every instance when instanced rendering is enabled.

Is that real? UVD FINALLY FIXED?AMD use to be all I built , not anymore after this and 900 chipset / ''bull dozer '' and its derivatives ...lol...
thing is if it was for these thing I was well satisfied with the last 7000 series card as far as hardware and looks on the display it was amd support that done them in [or I should say the lackluster support ]
Older AMD cards works just as well as older nVidia cards...your computer doesn't really care if it's red or green, but you might.
I don't give a flying f*ck at a rolling donut, as long as my GPU does what it says on the tin...do you?
Today, I see this:
Currently installed: 18.7.1
New Recommended: 18.5.1
New Optional: 18.8.1
This this is a bit scizophrenic. Also, settings pages seem to be changing with different versions, which is strange.
with this NVidia card all my games work as expected with any driver , sure a driver like 355.82 may of borked a game but it still loaded and played not just fail to load past the menu if any at all like I was and others around been seeing as well .
sad thing is my 7000 series card when it works as it should it was oe of the better cards I owned . [ I think the amd card made a nicer looking picture on my displays ] so not trying to say hardware wise I prefer NVidia over amd , but support amd got silly and a pain .
seemed like someone made a list of dropped games that later amd drivers don't support anymore and a few like the ones I had were AAA type in there time .
another sad thing in that is I had to spend money on a card to get ''full' support of all my games and programs back with out playing driver tag to do so
''Me and my 280X are crying (crocodile) tears for you and your punctuation''
sorry about that , but I'm sre you will get over it and live another day ...lol.... one of them tooo bad , sooo sad things I guess .
when I discovered these game were not working I googled it and see plenty of guys with the same a driver over 12.6 a no go . seemed like even AMD made this in a statement at there own site as well back when / no longer supported .
I was well satisfied with my amd cards , but if it don't / or stops supporting me its then junk . like it or not
[MAX PAINE ] for one
''Roll back drivers to 32 bit rather than 64 bit (some Nvidia drivers like 196.75 to 197.34 appear to not be supported, as well as ATI 13.1 and the 12.11 beta drivers. However, ATI 12.8 and 12.10 or earlier are confirmed to work).''
sad thing is NVidia fixed and AMD just neglected if so too late for amd and me I went as high as 15.x drivers with that amd card in a hand me down build and nada. ATI 12.8 and 12.10 or earlier is all that will
I just take issue with your broad strokes without any validity.
