Latest Open World Warframe Expansion, Fortuna, Releases This November

Warframe is one of those games that has seen a marked improvement after its initial release. The changes to the games' systems and offering of activities is something really overwhelming, should one look at it and consider the magnitude of changes. From repeated environments and a basic MMORPG, hack/slash/shoot game that offered little to distinguish itself to the industry juggernaut it is now, Warframe has been getting better, bigger, and bolder with each subsequent release.

The new Fortuna expansion is just another step in that direction, with another huge open-world area being added to the game - after last years' Plains of Eidolon, of course. The new expansion will see an added area that is four to five times bigger than the open-world environment of Plains of Eidolon. Fortuna will push the science-fiction aesthetic farther up the hill, and will focus on Orokin-based architecture traversal as players follow the Solaris United faction's struggle against Corpus. New bounties and missions will obviously be available, and in a new high for the series, players will have access to the new K-Drive hoverboards, which will bring new ways of traversing the open world environment Oh, and... via the Codename: Railjack mission, players will be able to control a spaceship and enjoy combat in outer space. If that doesn't scream development when compared to Warframes' initial gaming environment, I don't know what does.

Ha! :D

And yes, still a noob too. We always will be. Just when you've got your setup in order, some new grind pops up that needs to be done. DE has mastered the art of power creep in all of its diversity. And yet, you do still feel like you get stronger and actually progress. Its a neat little thing they got going on and each content update feels like a big, bigger, biggest moment.

And when you run out of things to Prime... just add Umbra. :p When you've got all the mods... just add RNG-based Riven mods... When the linear maps get old... just add some open ones. Its dead simple but the result of the whole package that is Warframe today is pretty damn awesome.

I know I should know better, but I'm still hyped for this update.

When they did that i pretty much quit the game as there was no point in me continuing solo

Really wanted to start playing again when Plains of Eidolon came out, but damn work, apartment renovations and Quake gets in the way all the time.

I'm only 100 hours in, and I still haven't even scratched the surface. Last played some time around 2015...
...I think my Kubrows are probably dead by now, and my ship is covered with dog poop and skeletons. :D

Playing since OBT with huge periods of not playing at all for 6-9 months a year (stuck somewhere in 400 days login rewards :)). I missing 'old days' of early builds than i switched from WoT to this game.

You can still easily play solo, I do this most of the time. Only for the Plains do you really need groups, but even that content is soloable if you know what to do (and bring the right kit).

There are new Mastery farm maps in place (such as Hydron) and it is much more manageable too now. Just gotta find out the new hot spots ;)

BTW: nice sig :D

Well, solo, I kinda mean Public matchmaking or just going through Recruiting. The community is quite alright, only prerequisite is that you know what you're doing, to some degree. I meet lots of like minded individuals that pop back into the game from time to time, so its not like everyone is super knowledgeable either and you're the only silly one.

for me the issue is that the entire game is kinda boring atm, there is nothing there for the advanced players.
Challenge is non existent and there is no reason to stay long in missions (while enemies grow stronger) as you still get the same rewards.

Imo the lack of any sort of the challenge is what makes me not play the game atm.

It's probably worth noting that Railjack won't be releasing at the same time as Fortuna; it's slated for sometime in 2019.

clocked over 1000 hours, sitting comfortably in MR21 & owned pretty much ALL Primed Warframes & one "free" Excal Umbra as my new solo frame. There are TWO things I wanted from the Fortuna update; Garuda & a MOA companion.

Grind :) before you get into the party of more addicted people who teach you through whole game in 3 days course and after that you will know, that all shiny (prime) things you wanted doesn't matter since it's grind for grind and nothing more. Game was a great time killer earlier with all funny bugs and abusing game mechanics, now devs working hard removing "fun" every day.

Sorry, forget to mention - power creep (second name for this game). Never invest something into something, just because a year later you get "%thing prime" that is almost same as "%thing" with 3-4 "forma", and next week "%thing" with strange name from IKEA will be twice more powerful.

Also, once you go past MR16, you pretty much reach the "end game" already. Rest is all "Affinity fodder" for higher Mastery Rank.

perhaps one common reason for a lot of warframe player are "its free" and the implementation of payed game item are not notorious and more transparent compare to the other game developes, the second thing is the kind "futuristic" style that makes this game unique i guess, its both organic and yet futuristic, graphics are OKAY not great, they also have a "loot box" we called it "relic" the different is this relic have a description of what part that you will got when you opened it and also the percentage of chance for you to get the item when you opened it

to release it not at once are wise i guess, i dont want to play railjack with full of matchmaking issue and other bug, nowdays its pretty hard to find AAA titles or some good games that free of bug in day 1 even back then the witcher 3 has it
