At 1550€, ASUS ROG Dominus Most Expensive Client-Segment Motherboard
ASUS formally launched its Republic of Gamers (ROG) Dominus, the sole available motherboard option for Intel Xeon W-3175X unlocked quasi-HEDT processor. Cowcotland scored its price in the old continent to be a whopping 1,550€, making it the most expensive client-segment motherboard (at least in the past 20 years of PC history). Built in the SSI-EEB form-factor, this board is designed for overclocking the 28-core/56-thread Xeon chip, which is capable of pulling over 1000W of power (just the CPU) under extreme overclocking. The processor itself is priced around 3,100€ including VAT. Add a matching hexa-channel DDR4 memory kit such as these Trident Z Royal ones, and your platform cost could easily touch 5,500€.

Clearly the point of this cpu isnt to be a fast single threaded monster... like a drag car cant hang on a track. Why its compared that way... I have no idea.
Out of the box it's an HEDT cpu and not intended to be a sprinter...but unlike other xeons it has the tools to be faster... which intel showed off. But clearly, it isn't meant to compete with a 6c/6t CPU with higher clocks. But for anything that can use its c/t...
For those who want/need the cores it can overclock. Really it changes nothing I said. It's an overclockable xeon...if one can use the cores and threads it will walk the 9700k off the edge. If they overclock it (on ambient water cooling, Id imagine 4 Ghz is in the cards), it shoves the 9700k off the edge.

And if you'll observe, my post doesn't contain the word intel in it. Yours does.
RTX price = Blame NVIDIA for that! Many of us here are complaining about the RTX cards being too expensive and many of us stick with our 1080/1080Ti. That price had nothing to do with us Japanese.
And way to cherry pick just to have a reason to write an insult against us again.
Did you even have a slightest idea about Gotenna?
This is the same monitor from ASUStek Japan:
ASUS ゲーミングモニター 27インチ ROG SWIFT PG27UQ
Some of my friends bought that monitor from that link, not from Gotenna.
If you don't know what's actually happening here, don't make things up.
Turing as a whole, though, is far too expensive... no matter where you are on the planet.
But if you really want an 'isult' here is one. If you think the price for that monitor is still common sense at ~2300$, then you are part of the same sheeple who is fine with this and accept anything without question and remorse. Congrats! You are the perfect drone citizen, just as your ilustrious leader Abe wants you to be. Obedient and without any personality. ;) /rant
You couldn't even use or write English terms correctly.
If you want to resort to throwing an insult against somebody you should've at least write it properly. What kind of sentence is this:
"If you think the price for that monitor is still common sense at ~2300$"
The correct sentence would be "If you think the $2,300 price for that monitor is reasonable..."
And read thoroughly. In no part in my post I wrote I thought the price was reasonable.
Some of the retailers had to sell products, particularly electronics, with a price much higher than MSRP because they had to import the products themselves instead of buying from local distributors, probably because the products they wanted to sell might be out of stock when they needed them or even not available at all. The import tax was added to the cost, and to cover it and make profit they had to sell those products with much higher price. Obviously, not everybody knew about this thing in Japan, and some people just like making things up.
Where the hell did alll of those came from??
And what the hell is Oxford English???
Seriously, anyone here can tell me what the hell is all of these babbling about??
And no, I'm not a Japanese who thinks that everyone should speak English.
Where the hell did you get that??
All of the sudden, all of these non-sense babbling??
And whoever said those excuses, whatever they are, were acceptable?
Like I wrote, you just made things up.
Let me guess: this had something to do with your problem with Softbank in the past and you kept feeling bitter about it?
Because you brought that issue again when you posted something in an article regarding NVIDIA and Softbank.
If anything, it's you who is being a sensitive flower or whatever that means.
This is insanity. I'm out of here.
Btw, 9700K is an 8 Core CPU :D
