Free Game Alert: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Available for Free Today Only

Attention to all of you who enjoy your games to be free of charge (and don't we all?). Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is available for free download, today only. Yes, the game is an old one, but a free game is certainly worth the admission price, whether you've already played it and have your trusty, physical CD edition laying around (it's good for a frisbee nowadays), or just want to get your hands on something Elder Scrolls that you've never touched before.

Like any Bethesda game, there are a number of mods that you can apply here to fix bugs (ah trusty old Bethesda), improve mechanics, game systems, gameplay, and graphics, so you can always dive in a little deeper if that is your wish. You'll have to sign-up for a Bethesda account, and enter the code TES25TH-MORROWIND for the price to become a big, fat, submissive zero.

BorgOvermind@lexluthermiester +1 hands down for GoG. But other than that I'd rather use one game client instead of 5.
Agreed!...
MrGeniusI was able to redeem the code....supposedly. But...I can't the goddamn launcher to work. I've installed/reinstalled it 3 times now and when I go to run it, it just shows a blank grey window. This is on the latest Windows 10(1809). Anybody else having that problem? Looks like, for the mean time, I'm going to switch over to my Windows 7 disk and try that.

EDIT: Ha! Same exact thing on W7. WTF over?
...and this is one of the reasons why. When I buy(get) a game, I expect to be able to play it. No hassles, no fuss. Pay, install, play.

biffzinkerAny room for EA, and Activision?
I'm in no way, shape or form a fan of EA, but I really like sandbox racing games (Need For Speed), and any issues with Origin is usually fixed in 2-4 hours.
Any issues with Ubisoft is usually fixed within 2-4 months (The Crew 1+2)...and any Bethesda (any game) issues is usually solved within 2-never years :-)

RavenasPlease stop trying to get customers pulled in to yet another PC distribution platform.
Isn't it a straight http download once you get through the mess?

I mean that's about as launcher free as it gets.

I wonder if you can copy it to a new folder(for example C:\Games\Morrowind) and it would run? Have you tried?
