ASRock Officially Launches X570 Series Motherboards

The leading global motherboard manufacturer, ASRock, is pleased to officially announce the launch of the new AMD X570 motherboard series, previewed during Computex 2019. The series offers ten motherboard models for every role from affordable performance to gaming to content creation to power users. ASRock's X570 boards get the most from the next generation PCIe 4.0 interface and from the newest, most powerful AM4 processors, including the AMD Ryzen 2000 and 3000 Series. These new boards continue the tradition of trusted ASRock names such as Taichi and Phantom Gaming.

The new design for ASRock's X570 motherboards is a huge step forward. ASRock has combined both aesthetics and functionality to create a board that not only looks fascinating, with its bold angular lines, but performs as good as it looks. The stunning full coverage aluminum heatsink cools and protects the PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSDs as well as the chipset. The neatly designed color LED system is eye-catching but also classy. If you need even more enhanced RGB effects, you can customize your PC with Polychrome SYNC full-color RGB LED lighting, which provides both 3-pin addressable RGB headers and traditional 4-pin RGB LED headers which allow users to connect RGB strips directly to the motherboard and sync their lighting system using the app provided.
Connectivity and performance: WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and PCIe 4.0
ASRock's X570 series brings users the benefits of the next generation PCI Express 4.0 that can offer twice the speed and performance of the older 3rd generation. ASRock's revolutionary, exclusive Steel Slot design with extra anchor points protects signal stability and ensures that heavy graphics cards are safely installed - even if the system is moved. ASRock X570 motherboards include the revolutionary new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) high-efficiency wireless network interface, giving even faster WiFi connection speeds up to 2.4Gbps and making next generation wireless technology such as MU-MIMO readily available for improved coverage and range.

Rock-solid reliable motherboard design
As well as the stunning design, ASRock's new X570 motherboards feature Dr. MOS, Premium 60A Power Chokes and Nichicon 12K Black Caps. This means that the X570 motherboard not only provides rock solid reliability no matter the task, but also keeps your system stable when overclocking. For extra performance, whether you're gaming or rendering professional content, the beautifully-designed pre-installed I/O shield reserves extra space for fitting tolerances and its position can be adjusted while installing, to make sure it fits the chassis perfectly. Unlike most so-called pre-mounted I/O shields that are only decorated with fancy color schemes, ASRock's easily-adjustable design truly improves the PC building experience and helps prevent installation difficulties or damage.

ASRock: the obvious choice for AMD X570 and Ryzen
With outstanding features, breathtaking aesthetics, and a range of boards for everyone, ASRock motherboards are the obvious choice for your new AMD570 system.

there is many peripherals that still need the PS2 ports.
PS/2 ports lower latency, bios boot bypass, nkey rollover. Plus many still use old school keyboards and custom built keyboards comes with PS/2 connections.

...how many mechanical keyboard that are on PS/2? I would really appreciate if they slapped two USB 2.0 instead or give 4 USB 2.0 like Aorus Elite did.
Was waiting for "budget offer" ,but now I made my choice.

ASRock is the 'leading global motherboard manufacturer' by sales now? If so that's surprising and some meteoric rise from 5 years ago.

Since it is an Asrock you might have that possibility in BIOS. Most others don't have that and as an Linux user that is a pain.

Then what's the point of paying premium for those features if You're just gonna turn it off?

I agree with zo0lykas - not everything should have RGB.

Every manufacturer says the same - "leading blah blah blah...".

Launch? So we can buy them? No? Then it's not a "launch".

Seriously, they didn't even provide all the details on the coming motherboards, that are supposed to be available on 7. 7. - In two days' time. Why the hell are they calling this a launch? And why isn't TPU more critical about this? You could call it "paper laubch", but even that would require you to publish all the details of your coming product, including price...

So no news about pricing. Let's hope they have something under 170 dollars; not everyone can afford 200$+ for a motherboard. Otherwise B450 looks like the best choice for someone on a budget.

Yes I done this on my current mb, but I mean why I should pay extra for thinks, I don't like or don't use, same about gpu water blocks so hard to find out without rgb..

Better than making it entirely USB dependent and TBH PS2 ports should have never really been left out.

Extra USB ports for such periphials is fine but there have also been issues in the past concerning USB controller failures making the board entirely useless if it relies solely on USB to even use it at all - I've ran into that before (Crosshair V) and had to do an RMA of a board over it.

All it means is you have options for either type of periphial and more choices is a good thing, esp when you consider PS2 has never had issues with failures (Proven reliable) like USB controllers crapping out resulting in what I had happen.
You could still use it to do your RMA or even just order another board if you had to because for some folks, the singular machine is all they have - Would make it a real pain to do so otherwise.

This one only has the one PS2 anyway so it's nothing to worry about - If you don't like PS2, don't use it but the option if it's ever needed it's there and that's a good thing.

As for ASRock being THE leading manufacturer, I doubt it myself but there is also no doubt they have risen by far above where they were before.

It's a PR. They can't change a word in it, they just publish it as is.

PS/2 is still on every board and will be. It is in every LPC controller and option to route it is costless as it always there.

Get a life and do not rant about added things.

I still use a PS/2 keyboard.

And I think I still have a mouse somewhere around... Besides, if they can't add one PS/2 port on a rather expensive motherboard...

To my knowledge since Ryzen, AMD has their own USB 3.0 controller embedded in their CPU.Extra like these PS/2 port are configured by their respective PCH or Southbridge. In such a catastrophic events, would that render PS/2 useless?
ASRock introduced teeny-weensy very useful CLR CMOS button on their back panel since x370, I'm glad they adding more feature like Q-Flash in their x570 lineup. On the other hand my USB peripheral are growing, and i'm still doubt USB header and/or USB HUB.
That said, i made my choice.

Not entirely true - For example the AM3+ Sabertooth 3.0 doesn't have any PS2 ports at all, I have to use the standard USB ports to do installs and such with mine.
There are others too that lack it but the majority of boards out there do have at least one, a few such as the Z270 Apex IX has both with another Z270 board lacking it entirely, namely the Maximus IX Hero.

EDIT:
Also need to do a slight correction/clarification, just went out and looked at the old Crosshair V and yes, it has one but as said once the USB controller went out that was it.

@1d10t Yes it's your choice and consequense, you've every right to make it and that's fine. All I'm saying is it's not a good idea to make everything so dependent on one specific thing, esp when it's fact such has had issues before in the way described.

personally I like fans on north - south bridges ...

The 1st pcie connector looks like it is slightly higher than the second giving relief for extra connectors good design

BonesNot entirely true
Another one... as I said. The LPC cotroller has it. READ IT LPC. Every board resides it and is a core element to boot the upper level HW. PS/2 is a very low close to the metal device. The option to route it physically to the I/O and expose the option in bios as an available is another thing, but factually it resides in every board.

Ah - You meant circuitry-wise / feature-wise and that makes sense.

I was speaking in the literal sense of pluging up something PS2 related to it.
