Ultra-slim? 7mm has been the standard thickness for 2.5" SSDs since the beginning.
I get that it's regular marketing bullshit but putting this into the headline invites mocking.

These kind of announcements makes me laugh every time "BIOSTAR, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices", at least here in Finland you can see some Biostar products here and there, but usually they're known for budget models. Never seen a Biostar graphics card here.

But yeah, just your typical SSDs, nothing new here.

I live about 15 minutes drive from their HQ and you don't even see their stuff for sale here...

Ultra slim 7mm is no longer a problem nowadays it could be 5mm and in 1.8 format since 2.5 is mostly empty. Biostar could offer units larger than 1Tb since few people nowadays opt for this type of SSD as their main unit . NMVe PCIe is all over the moderboards .Solid speed ! Tests will show if this is a constant in most data sizes .

You guys must get paid to publish their nonsense at this point. It’s a mockery. :D

Also, “minimalist design” means you don’t plaster your brand across the front of it!

Why is everything “ultra-***” - maybe they were, back in 2008, when SSD tech was just taking off.

Like above, this is one serious snooze fest. Their marketing team is bloody awful.

More companies making SSDs is good because competition lowers prices and leads to innovation but all these companies sticking their name on the same boring SSDs is pointless... I mean, what is the actual market for this? Nobody would buy that instead of Crucial or Kingston or Intel or Samsung or WD or really any other name brand that's basically the same price. And no OEM is going to use a Biostar SSD when they can buy them cheaper from companies that actually make their own NAND like Samsung or Micron.
