Would it not have made more sense to use a Skylake or TR4 CPU in these? As far as i know they (well not all Skylakes) are much better for a creator PC than the 9900K.

Not for everyone I guess. Personally I think they make some squeaky clean cases. I appreciate how not in your face they are with exploding geometry and accents all over everything. I'll take simple and refined over that any day. Thier cases can be sequestered into a pleasing combination of cubes with black-on-black or a nice two-tone in a velveteen matte. Different kind of distinguished imo. Also gives you a platform suited to a wider variety of different looks.

if only they knew a hi-end case needs good airflow in the first palce, that'd be great.

Too true! And they're soooo close. Just need to work on thier front panel openings and allow for better fan configurations. I know they're not ditching shrouds... they were probably one of the first to popularize it... but they can at least fix those things.

I will say... they've gotten better about it. Like they're not terribly out of balance and there are worse performers, they're just very limiting.

I will say they're decently quiet ime. But when you try to put high powered stuff inside you're gonna hit that wall where there just isn't enough flow in or out to hold ideal temps.

I have heard the ECS boards are some of the worst on the market. How can NZXT get away with using a board like that with the 9900K and of top of the the 2080TI. I can see a ton of warranty service requests coming their way.
