The Flex subscription service features no hassle returns, no hidden fees and regular upgrades all without a long term commitment.
"At NZXT, we believe everyone should be able to play the games they love," said Bryan de Zayas, NZXT's Head of Marketing. "In the past, that meant buying a pre-built PC or building your own. Our new Flex subscription service offers gamers more flexibility and choice, so they can focus on what really matters - playing the games they love.""The subscription program has truly been a godsend for me." NZXT Flex customer review. "I am unable to cover the full cost of a PC upfront. Prior to this, I was gaming on a 10-year-old laptop. The tech advancements became evident when I experienced a significant difference between my old gaming laptop and the new Player Two. I am sincerely thankful that this program was introduced, and I am committed to making the most of it.

NZXT Flex provides us with the confidence that we'll always have access to the top-of-the-line builds so that we can create content and play at our highest level for our fans." - Brian Anderson, CEO of FlyQuest

59$ x12 x2 = 1416$
A not very smart similar config pcpartpicker.com/list/4msdyg = 1399$
Player two:
119$ x12 x2 = 2856$
Another not particularly smart similar config pcpartpicker.com/list/pYDPwg = 1817$
Lol, nzxt can go shove it!:slap:
However, the price is outlandish.
Tier 3 at $169 a month for 24 months is $4,056
Tier 2 at $119 a month for 24 months is $2,856
Tier 1 at $59 a month for 24 months is $1,416
(this doesn't include any taxes and/or shipping costs if applicable)
I'd much rather spend $2k on a components myself, get a computer that's better than what Tier 2 offers and have it for 3-5 years before getting a new system.
Can there really be that many people out there that think this is a good deal?
"the more you spend, the more new jackets I get to buy" hehehe :)
Thanks but no thanks NzeeXtee !
What happens with data if you can’t cough up a sub fee? Do they have restrictions on software etc…? Extra telemetry built in thats part of a contract agreement? Whats the e-waste like if they’re swapping out rigs every two years when people typically upgrade the entire pc less often and not always the entire PC.
Wasteful service.
For the people that don't understand who would "choose" this....nobody would "choose" this if they had the choice not to....this is for people that have absolutely no choice....think poor college student who is studying graphic design and would need a PC with a capable GPU (I put myself through undergrad without ever owning a computer and I might have entertained something like this had it been around at the time which was the mid 2000s).
Just like how getting furniture at Rent-A-Center is something that nobody ideally wants to, nobody would choose to get their PC this way.
Player 2 config seems a little janky. I would swap out the 5600x for 5700X3D then for player three put in a 4090.
Like here's a relatively smart config that would be beat the pants of nzxt player 2 for cheaper than the player 1 price: pcpartpicker.com/list/xMtMz6 -> total 1358$. No sales, no bargain bin psu or case, even splurged with a noctua cooler and ecc memory.
NZXT is really taking the piss here, they're going after those who don't know better which surely there will be plenty, this subscription scheme is a complete rip off whichever way you cut it. You seem to think any of this is about performance per value or whatever, what led you that way? ;)
The 5600x is cheap but not old enough to start being discouraging (though it kind of is when put in tier 2, they didn't even try to make it seem like good value). 4090 is just too expensive even when they're asking over 4000$ over 2 years, they wouldn't be able to keep the more than 50% profit margin they're probably targeting.
Let's also take a moment to appreciate they left the spellchecker warning visible on their marketing materials :D
'nuff said :D
They are fishing for continuous revenue from target demographics that are strapped for cash.
At least Rent-A-Center provides their customers with buyout options...
Here are the agreement details (or check the spoiler) if you want to read up on it more.
There are some basic FAQs on the website that gives you some information if you don't feel like reading through the agreement details.
Based on how people are turning out to be these days I can see some people liking this arrangement. Get a PC, don't have to maintain it or update it. You get it, you plug it in and it works and when it doesn't work or needs to be upgraded you just send it back.
Pricing is quite rough, but understandable for people that highly value the service. It's more like leasing a PC without a commitment than renting.
I'd say this is probably very nice of you move to the US for a couple months or something. Odd they don't include a monitor however.
And people, please. It's an option. Don't be downers about it. Don't like it don't buy it. It's expensive, but not egregious.
They want people to keep the PC for 2 years, and yet it costs quite a lot more than to just buy the parts and finding someone to build it for basically the same experience or using the same money to get a better experience.
PS, why does NZXT have a 14400 in the lower tier and a 5600x in the higher tier? Isn't the 14400 faster than the 5600x?

AMD is trying to get more market share within the GPU space, Nvidia doesn't want that.
Pretty sure Nvidia will let them keep doing it so that more people use their products, and eventually buy one of their products.
not worth it. not worth them getting into your stuff for... not worth some "mistake" or data breach happening and all your info is all over the place.
