ASRock Announces Update to Three of Its X299 Motherboards: X299 Creator, X299 Steel Legend and X299 Taichi CLX

ASRock is proud to announce the sequel to its popular X299 line of motherboards by updating not one but three models which includes the X299 Creator which is targeted at content creators, the X299 Steel Legend for mainstream users, and the X299 Taichi CLX which has all the bells and whistles of a high-end desktop motherboard. These new motherboards are set to enter the peak of an Intel-based market and provide uncompromised power and specs for every user.
X299 Creator - Create and Design with Ease
Our flagship motherboard - the X299 Creator, is designed for content creators and is at the high-end of this launch. Based on the Intel's latest line of processors, the X299 includes plenty of premium features you expect when creating design work in a rush. Our latest Aquantia AQC107 10GbE port, assisted by Intel's I219-V Gigabit NIC chipset provides dual Ethernet ports at the rear making connectivity versatile and fast. The AQUANTIA's AQtion client controller offers blazing fast 10 Gbps transfer speeds over Cat6 cables giving fast transfer speeds perfect for media center, workstation and gaming PC enthusiasts. This also includes Intel's AX200 802.11ax wireless interface with simultaneous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The X299 Creator is ideal for content creators and professional users who seek to add more expandability options through the 3 PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slots. These slots offer better performance when connected to SSD drives. Apart from this, the X299 Creator also has 10 SATA ports which is available for higher capacity drives and a necessity for all those graphic heavy images and videos.

What creators yearn for is data speed between graphic refresh rates and the X299 takes it one step further with support for THUNDERBOLT 3 technology. It brings speed and versatility to the most advanced USB-Type-C ports and offers a fast and simple level of connectivity. It enables lightning-fast data transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps. Using the same cable you can quick charge up to 9 V at 3 A (27W). Transferring videos and 4K images now becomes a breeze for creators. The X299 Creator personifies data transfer speeds more so than any other motherboard manufacturer out there by using USB3.2 Gen2x2 by utilizing Type-C which delivers up to 20 Gbps data transfer rates which is twice as fast as previous generations and to top it off the port is reversible as well.
X299 Steel Legend - Performance and Sustainability
ASRock announces the X299 Steel Legend targeted at mainstream users and certainly is the motherboard with the most bang for your buck. Bring cooler and reliable focus to your machine with Dr.Mos and a better heatsink design. The X299 features an 11 phase power design is an integrated power stage solution which intelligently and accurately delivers current up to 50 A for each phase thus providing improved thermal results and superior performance. USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type C is the latest USB technology to deliver up to 20 Gbps transfer rates which is twice as fast as previous generations and maximizes data transfer rates with a reversible USB Type-C design that can fit the connector either way.

Added to the neat design are polychrome RGB lighting. The LED system is eye-catching but maintains class making it a fashion statement that you are serious about your machine. If the default colors aren't sufficient, there are even more enhanced RGB effect options available that allow you to customize your PC with Polychrome SYNC full-color RGB LED lighting. This provides both 3 pin addressable RGB headers and traditional 4-pin RGB LED headers which allow users to connect RGB strips directly to the motherboard and sync their lighting system using the accompanying app provided.
X299 Taichi CLX - Bringing Power to an otherwise normal system
Our third highlight we'd like to bring your attention to is the release of the X299 Taichi CLX. The X299 CLX fits between our mainstream Steel Legend and the high-end Creator. It provides something for everyone and takes full advantage of some of the features from both motherboards. The super alloy design, support for Intel's Core X-Series processors (LGA 2066), 13 power phase design (Dr.MOS), support for DDR4 4200, 4 PCIe 3.0 x16 and 1 PCIe 3.0 slot.

This is truly ASRock's X299 high-end motherboard and a testament to that is that ASRock is announcing WiFi 6 (802.11ax) which is a highly efficient wireless network interface giving even faster WiFi connections speeds and up to 2.4 Gbps throughput. Its supersedes the MU-MIMO technology by offering improved coverage and range.

Bringing in speedier connectivity has always been our goal at ASRock and the X299 Taichi CLX delivers two and a half times the performance boost with an advanced 2.5Gbps LAN interface that is sure to keep gamers streaming at lightning speeds and office workers finding it much easier to transfer large files in an instant rather than wait.

Make no mistake, these 3 X299 motherboard updates are outstanding and offers value beyond its price point. Surely there must be a void where either the X299 Creator, X299 Steel Legend, or the X299 Taichi CLX can fill. Contact an ASRock dealer today.

Ive always appreciated the fact that Asrock always pushes the newest features and standards with their motherboards before every other manufacturer. They were the first to start incorporating integrated 10GBase-T (which Im happy to finally see becoming more mainstream as I'm tired of buying X550-T2 NICs for every PC I want to connect to my home 10GBASE-T network...though I'll have to wait a little while longer to start seeing dual port 10GBASE-T integrated in mobo's so I can do the link aggregation I prefer [my server/NAS has an Intel X710-T4 with all 4x links aggregated for a 40Gbit backbone]), m.2 slots (all the way back in the first iteration of X99 (I had the X99 WS-E/10G which only had a 3.0x2 m.2, but it was still a crazy board, the X99 Extreme11 was even crazier), and even 5GBase-T on mainstream boards, and usually always for a cheaper price.

I'm not an Asrock fanboy by any measure (current board is an Asus X470-F w/ 2700x), but I feel as though if companies like Asrock weren't pushing the newest features first, bigger, more bloated, and unjustifiably more expensive companies, like Asus, would definitely be dragging their feet.
