Intel to cut prices again

DigiTimes compiled a comprehensive chart about the latest price cuts Intel is about to announce. The source of these information is an Economic Daily News report which states Intel was forced by AMD's new low-cost chipset RS690 to slash the prices earlier than planned. So it makes quite sense that only the remains of the Desktop NetBurst microarchitecture CPUs are affected:

Uh.. why is the Pentium 4 stated as costing 250$ this past december?

Sweet, a Celeron D 347 was going to make its way into my HTPC, looks like the 352 might be taking its place.

I'm currently on a Northwood s478. Those prices are very interesting... I was about to go Quad Core2Duo... but I might just go Pentium D "on the way there". Do the D thing for 6 months, save a bucket until the newer faster cheaper Quads are in the market

You should just go ahead and buy the E4300.

Those prices are awesome, its almost strange to see processors that cheap... buy a cheap dual core celeron for $35 and overclock it :toast:
