CRYORIG Confirms LGA 115x Cooler Compatibility with LGA 1200

In response to the new Intel LGA 1200 socket, CRYORIG announces that LGA 1200 socket would be compatible with all existing LGA115x supported models. The supported models include: A series liquid coolers, R1 Ultimate/Universal, C1, H5 Ultimate/Universal, H7 Series, M9I, M9 Plus, and C7 Series. As the mounting mechanism of LGA1200 is identical to LGA115x socket, users with LGA115x supported models would not require any extra upgrade kits.

Agree:laugh:
But that's mean the aircooling has gotten the end, hard to break through the ceiling. Heatsink and Fans both are.
Check A12x25, it's a complete imitation what copy from gentle typhoon.

Cryorig will need to work harder than this to do that... Their availability sucked way before the human malware.

More evidence that there was no need to change to a new socket until DDR5 arrives.

"More power needed" they claim. Well that's silly, it's not as if 9th gen sips power conservatively - board makers have been dealing with Intel's guzzle-happy behaviour for a good few years now. If they were worried about cheaper boards they should just let motherboard vendors choose the EDC and TDC values each board is capable of delivering.
