Would finally be a monitor that equals a crt in terms of (virtually) zero input lag, and proper blacks.
I have a LU28E590DS monitor, pretty happy with it 3840x2160 60 hz, I prefer 4k 60hz than 2k 144 hz, an oled 4k tv like the 55 or 48 would be a great addition but burn in puts me off. The other option is qled monitors or newer microleds monitors which I think is the future, for now i guess will stay with the LU28E590DS.
Last year LG made 1440p 144hz fast IPS, a small korean panel manufacturer called Panda made 1080p 144hz IPS, and somehow AUO's 1080p 144hz IPS became a little cheaper.
Since LG made 4k 144hz monitor this year and Samsung finally made a fast-VA, we'll see proliferation of those two next year. Curved 1440p 240hz VA and flat 4k 144hz IPS.
But this market ... really?
