8 Comments on Lenovo Legion Unleashes Next-Gen Gaming Power at CES 2025
Looks like they made a typo in their press release, should be $399
im a bit tired of waiting on steam deck 2, but steamOS is a must for me. also i find myself never using the touch pads so eh
hopefully the screen is good, non-OLED, but screen tech has come a long way in 2024/2025, so I am not judging it until i see it in person/reviews
The 2nd gen Legion Go seems to be a reasonable upgrade as the first gen just needed a better screen and more RAM. I'm hoping its still 2560x1600, but native and OLED, as that would be perfect for integer scaling.
EDIT: I need to read the article further LOL. Looks like Go S may come with 32 GB of 7500Mhz LPDDR5X RAM.
I've thoroughly used my Legion Go and it has survived my use since I got it (Oct 2023). The controllers are still solid which I thought would break after 6 months or so, but apparently they did make them sturdy, possibly even better than the Nintendo Switch design (although the Switch is a lighter device).
So if the Go S is the standard Z1 Extreme APU with 32GB of RAM, it should still be good to last for a while, especially with SteamOS.
I know the Legion Go 2 is still a prototype, but the spec says its the standard Z2 with a 780M and not the Z2 Extreme (with 16 CUs). Interesting.
