ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Taichi Pictured

Here are the first pictures of the ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Taichi graphics card, the company's flagship custom-design offering based on the RX 6800 XT. Much like its predecessor, the RX 5700 XT Taichi, ASRock's latest design features a central illuminated fan that's flanked by a pair of larger fans. To cope with the much higher 300 W typical board power, ASRock is using a much meatier heatsink that's triple-slot, and over an inch taller than what constitutes as full height. The card appears to be pulling power from three PCIe power connectors—the first we've seen from a custom-design RX 6800 XT card. Display outputs include two DisplayPorts, an HDMI, and a USB-C. The card's metal back-plate features an illuminated ASRock Taichi logo ornament. There also appear to be buttons on the card to toggle the LED lighting, and to switch between its two BIOS ROMs. This card could feature the highest state of factory overclock from the ASRock camp for the RX 6800 XT.

Maybe not in America, but will be available in Eastern Europe because few people can buy them at those prices.

You would think so, but all 3080s are out of stock here. For 3090s, there is a single card in stock I could buy right now for 2700 USD, including VAT. And I really mean one card, as in one piece available in stock, not one model.

3070 availability is a bit better, there are more than 3 cards available in stock. But it would cost me 1360 USD, including VAT, to buy one.

At these prices, I'll just wait a few months.

I'm curious as to why they only went with 4 ports instead of 6 as their 5700XT did, unless they plan on having a newer halo model out with 6 ports instead of 4 (theoretically, speaking, an "AQUA" equivalent).

Same as everything else nowadays... to reduce costs and increase profit margins :(

And wtf is up witdat stupid-ass looking gear accent on only the middle fan ??? Yes I know that't the Taichi way, but IMHO it would have looked better (although still fugly AF) to have it on all 3 fans...

Pretty much, even in my crappy country with 27% VAT on hardware and on general stuff ppl just buy these overpriced cards like its candy on the second hand market 'well second hand but brand new'.

Seriously the 3070s go for like 800-900$ 'depends on model ofc' here and they are sold out like its nothing, I sometimes wonder where do ppl get that kind of throw away money here. 'average monthly wage here is 500-600$'

At least it's on the underside of the card and most people won't see it unless they have a vertical GPU mount.

3070s and 3090s are basically 24/7 in stock (many different models, MSRP or a bit above.. like 10% max)

3080s are available daily but are sold out within minutes

I remember when I could actually buy a new graphics card without any hassle.

Now I can't even find one, to buy because of all the obvious scalpers buying literally all of them completely out of stock before anyone else can even buy a single one.

Those were the days, amIright? Was browsing Amazon the other day just for fun and, I kid you not, they had damn near no stock of any cards -- modern cards, anyway. Of course you got listings on there for ancients (Fermi and the like) I even saw a listing for a 9800 GT, LOL! And then, of course, what stock they do have is through scalpers. It's total BS.

Yes, forgot also to mention that the shops are scalping like usual. The 3090 is €1640 without 20%VAT, but the 3080 is €900 and 3070 is €620 which is much bigger scalping.

Cute, but no. And he was talking to me, as I own a 1660 Super. It's a good little card.

That Taichi 6800 XT is a good looking card, pretty much like most Taichi series, very nicely designed!
I'm just afraid of the price. If it comes under 750$ I might get it.
Now we need to see some reviews!
