EVGA has recently released new BIOS updates for their X299, Z590, and Z490 motherboards enabling support for the PCIe Resizable BAR feature. Resizable BAR is an optional feature of the PCIe specifications which allows the CPU to access more GPU memory theoretically offering greater performance. AMD released their implementation of Resizable BAR with Smart Access Memory on Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards. NVIDIA responded by announcing plans to add Resizable BAR support to their RTX 30 series graphics cards starting with the RTX 3060. This new BIOS update for recent EVGA Intel motherboards will ensure that you can take full advantage of the latest graphics cards. Now the world just needs AMD GPU's to be in stock, and Nvidia to release their VBIOS/driver updates for us to benefit

Hmm I'm hoping ASUS do the same for their X299s.

Great to hear I got a bios update waiting, now if amd and nvidia would be so kind to give driver support to their older cards this would make up for the supply shortages

It's not drivers - its BIOS updates. don't expect this for older cards, it's not gunna happen for anything not currently for sale on the market.
20 series might get it, if we're lucky

Not very surprising with EVGA they actually coddle Intel and Nvidia anyway. Some of their forum moderators comments to forum questions about supporting AMD are telling.

Pretty sure EVGA forum mods don't know anything about their plans / internal info.

No I just got the impression and feeling it's almost like a cronyism company mentality for Nvidia/Intel and against AMD. It was based on the form moderators responses they weren't exactly isolated several different moderators all has the same kind of mindset and behavior responses regarding anything AMD support related like they've got a axe to grind against them or long term deal company contracts with Nvidia/Intel to not produce AMD related hardware. It rubbed me the wrong way personally because it didn't appear very professional the responses they seemed cocky and pretentious in nature.
