Crucial Technology today announced the immediate availability of 1066MHz Ballistix and Ballistix Tracer DDR2 modules. The new DDR2 PC2-8500 modules broaden Crucial's high-performance memory product lines and are optimized to provide excellent performance on newer, cutting-edge motherboards. Along with Ballistix PC2-6400 and PC2-8000 modules, these new 1066MHz modules utilize Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) memory technology by simplifying overclocking in EPP-supported systems. my motherboard support 16 gb i want to upgrade i think this will be it my fsb is 944 most of the time do you guys think i could run this memory at 4-4-4-4 at 944 instead of 5-5-5-15 at 1066 that is quite abit lower schould run tighter right
and i would get the 2-2x2gbs for 8gbs all together
my current memory is at 767 4-4-3-4 for 4gbs
is it worth it i am getting the intel 960 to replace my aging 660 i think thats will be a nice upgrade

i payed 330 for each of my 2 -2x1gb set of ocz when they came out so this isn't bad

This is going to be quite expensive. However, I do like the black PCB.

Crucial's PC2-8000 2GB set is already $445.99. I can only imagine how much their 8500's will cost.

For $264.25 you can buy 2GB Mushkin XP2-8500 with even lower timings (5-5-4-12).

i have the ddr2 1000 version of these , 4gb total , very nice ram with the leds to go with it too , the ram also lights up the ram slots with a whitish blueish light .................. they look pretty and do a damn fine job in overclocking aswell.
