It doesn't matter to me how long this game is made. What I don't need is a step by step update as they do it. Just let me know when it's done already :banghead:.

ok, imagine this smilie is half a meter away from you :) this one is 3 meters :) and this one is 10 meters :)

if you focus on the one thats 2 meters away, the other ones will become defocused (blurred)

its basicly just focus... I think in that game it focuses where ever you are aiming

I wounder if the depth of field is very cleaver?

I mean a pin hole camera or a SLR with a tiny apature (hole) everything is sharp and in focus.
I wounder if the lighting is not that good that the apature needs to be wider causing loss of focus?
Maybe this works off HDR with its mimicked apature / pupil thing.

Ha this probs makes no sense so im likely to be talking jibberish, but if any1 knows what i mean, then it would be a very cleaver feature.

you might have noticed almost nothing in that vid is new. the light textures are already used in oblivion. and the scenery already in Just Cause.

That looks crap!

The hills would not blur that much, and the amount of light would mean that everything is pretty sharp, but that looks like its too blurred to be realistic.

But meh thats my view.

Alright, this is the whole reason to get DX10. I'm gonna have to get me a DX10 card when they come out or sometime later. The graphics of this thing is stunning.

I agree, depth of view is rubbish. At the end of the day, your eyes will only focus on one area of the screen, so what's the point? In real life you could point a gun one way and look in a different place, so this is just trying to seem 'realistic' but in reality it's just gimmicky.

I'm sure I've seen that exact trailer a few weeks back (maybe it had watermarks then, but I think I remember everything else except for making the new road and then driving the tank).

You can edit the oblivion mod, the instructions are in the topic. I think that a 30%-40% of the effect in the image will be more beautiful :)

Is it just me or does this remind you of the Unreal 3 Engine?
