ASUS Intros VA27ECPSN Business Monitor with Type-C Support and Integrated Dock

ASUS today introduced the VA27ECPSN business monitor. This 27-inch Full HD IPS monitor supports USB type-C for single-cable connectivity with your notebook (DisplayPort + USB signal), and puts out an some downstream connectivity you might want—three USB 3.0 type-A ports, stereo analog audio through a headset jack, and 100 Mbps Ethernet. The monitor puts out USB type-C PD-65 W, so while your notebook supplies the monitor with display output and USB-upstream, the monitor recharges your notebook. Other vital display specs include 75 Hz refresh-rate, VESA Adaptive Sync, and TUV Rheinland-certified Flicker-free and Low Blue Light. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I hope that 100Mbps ethernet(even 1Gbps ethernet is under whelming at this point) is a typo in PR or while editing else $hitsus and their castration fetish seems to be spreading beyond motherboards.

It's probably correct. "Business" in a product name from any company other than Dell or Lenovo is generally a sign that the product in question is a crippled piece of garbage.

if business means for use by a front desk man then it makes sense. The idea of 1080p 27 inch is depressing for any other use.

I guess 75 ppi and 75 Hz is vital for power saving. 150 ppi and 150 Hz that is so vital for gamers would mean 4x the power needed.

I looked up on B&H for monitors with built in ethernet to find Viewsonic, Philips, Lenovo and Dell all offering Gigabit networking capabilities even on smaller 24" sizes.

It's an entry level product with entry level specs. Gigabit ethernet ports should be standard but it's not like it makes any difference in this class of product.

27" IPS is hardly entry-level... entry-level is 23" non-IPS.

This is a corporate product which will be bought by other corporations for their glorified slaves to waste their lives away in front of. The manufacturer will do absolutely anything and everything to lure corporate procurement with promises of increased slave productivity while saving every penny on the BOM. Also, anything below 24" is essentially old stock with limited availability and replaceability, I don't think anyone is manufacturing smaller LCD panels for use in computer monitors. 27" panels aren't much more expensive than 24" but seem like they're more premium - again, corporate procurement lure.
