HiCookie and GIGABYTE Achieve DDR5-11316 Memory OC

Professional overclocker HiCookie and GIGABYTE partnered to smash the memory overclocking record out of the park, with a jaw-dropping DDR5-11316 memory OC (5567.5 MHz memory clock). This memory OC record was achieved in a single-channel (single module) configuration, on a GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Tachyon motherboard that has a 1DPC (one DIMM per channel) memory slot topology; while the processor in charge was a Core i9-13900K. A single 16 GB GIGABYTE AORUS DDR5 memory module was used, and the DDR5-11316 speed was achieved at timings of 64-127-127-127-127, with 2T command-rate; although the DRAM voltage remains unknown. The CPUID validation can be found here, and the HWBOT listing here.

Yeah once that DDR5 CKD becomes popular, memory OC feats will look like zipcodes.

I wish HiCookie still made mobo's in partnership with Gigabyte like their original X58A-OC!

What I find amazing is that those multiples of 33,3333333333 MHz look like they're never going to die. The 80386 running at 33 MHz obviously left big footsteps across the entire CPU and RAM industry.

(334 x 33,3333333333 = 11133)

He still works at Gigabyte. He's part of the development of the Tachyon boards.

yep, and the second you add another stick, your IMC melts into a smoldering pile of poo, then the ram sticks, then your mobo, cpu, gpu etc.....

Betta keep them fire extinguishers handy :D

MetroidCan I buy it?
Only if you're willing to sacrifice one of your nuts, or your first-born child. I say this because while GIGABYTE always seems to be breaking "records" with these Tachyon boards and bragging them to high heaven, I've never actually seen them being sold literally anywhere for consumers. So it's like it's stuck in this limbo of it exists...but not really. :kookoo::wtf:

Can't buy the memory. They are just 4800 green sticks binned. I'm sure it was a whole case to find the right one. If any company sold those memory sticks....well probably not cheap lol

Z790 Tachyon available at NewEgg now (USA). I think it's been available in Asia for a little bit already.
