XMG Unveils New APEX 17 and APEX 15 Laptops With Ryzen 7 7735HS at Computex 2023

Schenker XMG has announced its new APEX-series laptops at Computex 2023 show which bring significant upgrades compared to the CORE-series, including a completely new cooling system and AMD's Phoenix platform with Ryzen 7 7735HS processor.

Both the APEX 17 and the APEX 15 feature a 144 Hz, 300-nits IPS screen with 1920x1080 resolution, and feature NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPUs, up to the 140 W mobile GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB. As noted, the APEX series will start off with the Zen 3 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS SKU, an 8-core/16-thread CPU and RDNA 2-based Radeon 680M iGPU. XPG plans to introduce a Zen 4-based version at a later date, which will most likely be based on AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS SKU, and also receive more screen options and faster memory speeds. The rest of the specifications for both new APEX-series laptops include two DDR5 slots with support for DDR5-4800 memory, and two SSDs. According to XMG, the APEX series will be available later in June, starting at €1,399 for the APEX 15 with GeForce RTX 4060, while the APEX 17 will start at €1,299 with GeForce RTX 4050, and €1,457 for the SKU with GeForce RTX 4060.

i'll never understand why you would want such a good APU paired with a dedicated graphics card. but to each their own I guess. i always use my gaming laptops plugged in, so battery life isn't an issue, gaming laptops are still easier to travel with than a desktop. they need to give us an ultimate gaming laptop with no battery, that plugs in only. has extra cooling where the battery used to be for more performance.

+1 You are absolutely right about buying an ultrabook with RTX and without it, the price difference can be between €300-500, a lot of money that you will never exploit. An example The Acer Swift Edge 16 Ultrabook (SFE16-43) is the perfect laptop for 90% of the population as long as you are not a gamer here link www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/acer-announces-new-swift-edge-16-laptop-refreshed-with-amd-ryzen-7040-series-apus-and-wi-fi-7.309156/

The 99% who use a laptop do not get 100% out of a dedicated RTX graphics card, only gamers, but for that I better buy a Mercury EM780 Minisforum mini handheld with AMD Ryzen Phoenix 7840U and two USB4 link ports< / b> www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/minisforum-launches-worlds-first-mini-pc-based-on-amd-ryzen-7040-phoenix.308706/

Why are we calling rehashed Rembrandt's Phoenix? 7735HS is not Phoenix at all.
