Alphacool Unveils Core 1 Series CPU Water Blocks

The new generation of CPU water cooling is here! With the Core 1, Alphacool presents a very powerful CPU cooler that reliably dissipates the enormous waste heat of the latest desktop CPU generation with the help of the completely newly developed 3D Jetplate. The cooler is available in three color variants and two Aurora versions.

Alphacool brings the best of old and new together with the Core 1 CPU cooler. The new 3D jetplate, in combination with the proven cross-slot technology, ensures an extremely even distribution of the coolant on the revised cooler base. Compared to the previous model, a 10 Kelvin lower temperature can be achieved. The housing of the Core 1 is milled from a high-quality brass block and has nickel-plated connections. The cooler's enlarged and also nickel-plated copper base ensures complete coverage of large CPUs.
The elegant and functional design is a key element of Alphacool's Core series. The visual highlight is the nickel-plated connectors that stand out from the high-quality brass housing. The discreet contour line and rounded corners add the perfect touch to the overall look. The modified mounting system requires fewer screws compared to previous Alphacool models and is easier to handle.

The Core 1 CPU Cooler is available now in White, Silver and Black, as well as Aurora Silver and Aurora Black variants in the Alphacool online store.

We need more reviews of water-cooling parts: both CPU and GPU blocks. Actually, I don't recall seeing GPU block reviews/comparisons at all.

OC.com tested i9-13900KS on 8 P-Cores, with EK-Quantum Velocity2 and the Optimus Foundation vs the new Alphacool Core 1.



I'll be sticking with my EK-Quantum Velocity2. :)

With GPU blocks it's a bit difficult cause of all the custom PCBs for each model. What's the point of comparing fullcovers for reference boards, if You have eg. Asus Strix and blocks for that card can behave differently since the water canals are of different shape etc...


About the Alphacool Core 1 - I hope they made the slits in the base slightly wider, compared to XPX Pro, since the latter are super narrow, which results in terrible flow restriction.

Really? I've never seen such difference between two CPU water blocks, even when they reviewed a really crappy Chinese one-size-fits-all compared to best and most ecpensive blocks!

GPU blocks are a bit different since they can have different strategies on what they actually cool and how, but CPU blocks are pretty straightforward, and there are no easy ways to get much better performance.

Even the Direct Die blocks that advertised ridiculous numbers such as "25 degrees colder" achieve that by comparing their results to some bad AIO, or even air cooler, not custom water.
