Alphacool at CES 2025: More Distro Plates, Core Stealth Aurora ARGB Fan, and QDCs for Enterprise

At CES 2025, we stopped at the booth of cooling specialist Alphacool, which showcases several products aimed at both PC enthusiasts and data center operators. The company's portfolio included fans, reservoirs, distribution plates, and enterprise cooling solutions. The Core Stealth Aurora Fan features a metal frame construction and operates between 400 and 2,600 RPM. While the fan includes ARGB lighting effects, its primary focus is on airflow performance for high-powered systems.

For liquid cooling systems, Alphacool introduced the Core Reservoir, which uses an acrylic body with G1/4" brass connectors. The reservoir comes with an integrated VPP Apex or D5 pump and is designed for space-efficient installations. ARGB lighting is built into the unit, allowing for system illumination.
The company also unveiled two products for custom water cooling: the Apex Manifold and new Distro Plates. These distribution plates are designed for specific computer cases, though Alphacool has not yet announced which cases will be supported. Like the Core Reservoir, these components feature acrylic construction and include pre-installed VPP Apex or D5 pumps. They come in different sizes and can occupy an area of 280/420/460 mm radiators (two 140 mm fans, three 120 mm fans, or three 140 mm fans).
In the enterprise sector, Alphacool demonstrated its Open Compute Project (OPC) standard-abiding Quick Disconnect Couplings (QDC). These connectors are designed for data center cooling distribution units and comply with the Open Compute Project standards for mass deployment in data centers across the globe. The QDCs implement a click-lock mechanism and are engineered to minimize flow restriction in large cooling systems. While consumer products emphasize performance and aesthetics, enterprise QDC solutions focus solely on practical functionality for data center applications. Some of these solutions are available on the Alphacool website and selected retailers.
