Alphacool Presents RTX 5080 / 5090 GPU Cooler

Alphacool International GmbH, based in Germany and a leading manufacturer in the field of water cooling, proudly presents the new graphics card water coolers for the latest NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5080 and 5090 generation.

The Alphacool Core GPU water cooler has been completely redesigned, and its appearance has also been adjusted. To further optimize cooling, all distances between the cooler and the components of the PCB were redefined and tested. The entire water flow was simulated using the latest software and then practically verified.
Through these simulations and practical tests, Alphacool was able to further refine the cooler base and nozzle, thereby improving cooling performance.

As a result, Alphacool guarantees that the new Alphacool Core GPU water coolers for the new NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 generation offer the best possible cooling performance.

The design has only been slightly adjusted. Alphacool continues to rely on pure brass fittings in the Core series to ensure the highest quality and safety. A Core emblem above the jetplate sets new visual standards. Alphacool's coolers use chrome plating on the copper cooler instead of nickel plating. Chrome plating is more durable and appears significantly brighter and smoother than pure nickel plating.

At launch, Alphacool will cover the following models:
  • NVIDIA RTX 5080
    • Palit various models
    • Gainward various models
    • Inno3D various models
    • ASUS ROG Strix
    • ASUS TUF Gaming
    • MSI Suprim
    • MSI Gaming
  • NVIDIA RTX 5090:
    • Palit various models
    • Gainward various models
    • Inno3D various models
    • ASUS ROG Strix
    • ASUS TUF Gaming
    • MSI Suprim
    • MSI Gaming
In addition to the Core cooler, Alphacool is also introducing an enterprise variant. The Alphacool ES RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 graphics card water coolers are 1-slot solutions. Their slim design allows users to cool graphics cards whose PCIe slots are right next to each other. The fittings are oriented towards the rear. This makes the Alphacool ES Geforce RTX 5080 and 5090 coolers ideal for use in server cases or workstations with two or more graphics cards.

Prices incl. 19% VAT:
  • Alphacool Core RTX 5080 - €199.98
  • Alphacool Core RTX 5090 - €199.98
  • Alphacool ES RTX 5080 1-slot design - €299.98
  • Alphacool ES RTX 5090 1-slot design - €299.98
The coolers will be available for order in the shop at the launch of the graphics cards. Some models will be available for pre-order, while others will be directly available.

The current official launch date for the graphics cards is January 30.

A backplate is always included with the Alphacool Core coolers. The complete mounting material is also included, along with high-quality thermal paste and pre-cut thermal pads.

I have been liking the Alphacool designs as of late. Moving the ports to the back make using distro plates easier, at least in my case.

Why would anyone spend €300 on waterblocking a second tier €1000 card?

The 5090 blocks are nice though.

I am shocked I have not seen any of the EK stuff yet.
The 5090, I have my eyes on the ES model!
Very nice!

Why isn't this already a standard factory cooling for so gigantic cards?
Watercooling means smaller cards, you can place the fans somewhere outside...

Many benefits, quietness, lower temperatures, compactness, saneness.

The cards are no longer gigantic they're all two slot, at least FE.

Waiting to see what Watercool, EKWB and maybe Optimus will come up with aswell as some comparison between the blocks . Hope someone makes a block for that tiny FE PCB !

That being said good to see Alphacool being able to offer blocks from the getgo .

Wait for the cheap Chinese stuff, and spot which one EK will rebrand - they laid off most of the workforce here in Slovenia, but are still acting like they are an important company that should be saved…

I'll be impressed if these are actually available at launch, usually you have to wait a couple of months which is a minor irritation. For the 4090 no one had a block for my card for a couple of months so I just got lazy & gave up & stuck with air, so someone lost a sale.

You can always be the first to send them a card for making a master mold and receive it for free. Except for FE with those daughterboards for DP,HDMI and PCIe, complicating things and harder to do.

Very neat. Waiting for Inno3D iChill Frostbite. That family always comes with AC blocks on them so don't have to waste time with putting it on you own/voiding warranty. My rendering rig can't wait. :D
