Well i like to know what they changed as the Seasonic 1k Plat is near $400.

Kinda raises a red flag to me.

So by this accounting, are you saying that the cables, either the stock ones SS normally includes, and/or the ones you get with Phan's deal, are worth approx $200 ???

Yea this raises some MAJOR red flags for me too, the BLISTERING, NUCLEAR FUSION, CORE OF THE SUN variety :)

Hopefully somebody somewhere can shed some more light on this, the BLINDING WHITE SPOTLIGHT type....

Lets say they changed nothing and copy the cables too, you be on a $20 saving if you were thinking of buying a SS 1k Plat PSU haha.

Can buy 1K Seasonic Titanium right now for under $330 (in the US) and 1.3K Platinum for around the same. This is with the current stocking issues that seem to be going on with Seasonic. I'm not sure they're really cutting corners much with the pricing. You can get FSP/Silverstone 1.2K Platinums for around $250, but those come with cables so that makes these a fair bit more.

Well if i were to get either i wait for the sales like i did for my other, but i am not on about that.

If a SS 1k plat cost around $400, and SS are the OEM of this PSU why the $200 difference, older version, downgraded parts what ?.

Because all the SS Plat PSU's i have seen don't have a layout the same as this at all.
