Google Updates its Search Engine

Google unveiled today a new Google.com search engine dubbed Universal Search. It might look like the old Google and nothing has changed, but new features have been added. Now Google search bar will include books, images, maps, news, videos, and web sites, and when you press "Google search" it will find all this in one result. In addition to Universal Search you will find an updated homepage design and several new navigation tabs that appear above the search results. Enough talking, just visit Google today and you'll see.

I want to see Froogle updated so no companies can get away with their prices being listed without VAT, its misleading and time wasting.

All in all I think it looks good, and it's still very functional. For some reason it looks even "cleaner" to me than before. Which has been one of the reasons I've used Google instead of Yahoo, MSN, ASK, and the like.

One of the many reasons I'm proud to be an American. ;)

Damn straight. Do companies really think a user is going to continue browsing their site after seeing how much something is by the time VAT is added on? Not bloodly likely when they would of seen the same thing in the froogle search much cheaper somewhere else.

I am starting to hate google now, everything i search for is bloated with companies they advertise for...and there tags are out of control.

I hate the new interface. I have to go out of my way to click on the other hyperlinks (such as images or the "more" thing) now :(

If you use FireFox, try downloading the "CustomizeGoogle" addon. From there change it's options to disable those annoying ads.
