Disney Games Reveals Gargoyles Remastered, Launching October 19

Gargoyles Remastered is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam and GOG! Launching October 19th, Gargoyles Remastered is an artfully crafted revival of the 1990s classic 16-bit side-scrolling platform adventure. Relive the epic journey of Goliath and the Gargoyles featuring enhanced visuals, animations, and SFX, all inspired by the acclaimed animated series. The world of Gargoyles comes to life with a level of detail that will thrill fans of the animated series and retro gaming enthusiasts alike. Experience classic gameplay that stays authentic to its predecessor while including new features such as achievements, gameplay rewind, and more!

A true blast from the past! In 1995, Disney Software and Buena Vista Interactive teamed up to bring Gargoyles for the Sega Genesis. This platformer was based on Disney's animated TV series with the same title, which was known for its dark and mature themes, complex characters, and engaging storytelling. The game quickly became an absolute gem thanks to its faithfulness to the source material and fun-packed gameplay.
Now, 28 years later, we're gonna relieve those precious memories - Gargoyles Remastered is now available to pre-order.

I enjoyed the cartoon as a younger person.....didn't even know they made a game. I don't see what kind of appeal this remake is supposed to have. Were there that many followers of Gargoyles for this to be a cost effective reason to remaster/remake the game?

Kinda lost all it's dark gritty charm. :twitch: I think a pixel version would have sold better. Some new combat features would also have been great, this just looks dated.
White Retro Plastic VHS Clamshell Case with VHS Tape Box (not an actual VHS tape)
LOL. Well, I guess VHS tapes are hard to get nowadays. Don't think they are produced anymore, like Vinyl.

I would only pay for an Aladin remaster. That was actually a good fun game.

There are a lot of gems from Disney from the 4th console gen that have been unavailable for decades, like Aladdin, Lion King, Quackshot, Mickey Mania and more. This is a great game and it deserves the deluxe treatment.

Even so the SNES one was very beautiful, imagine if the Mega Drive had the same color palettes as the SNES.

I've got it for the SEGA Master System II. Was quite a good game, but my fav's where the Alex Kidd, Ghouls'n Ghosts (pretty hard one), Wonder Boy & Sonic games. Also interesting how critics rated the 273 Master System games, lol.

Wonderboy III The Dragon's Trap is simply amazing. I have extremely fond memories of playing it with my Mum (RIP) and as such the game now turns me into a wreck.

My other favourites were Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Chase H.Q., Power Strike and being a BMXer to this day, California Games.

If you haven't got the remade Wonderboy III on Steam, it is simply beautiful and aurally breath taking.

Those top 50 things get me angry. Until I see Wonderboy III...

Thinking about it, Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion was also really good.

If you mean "Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap" then yea, I got that one already on my wishlist. :D There is also "Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom" which looks quite similar, got even better ratings.

And yea, "Castle of Illusion" is just a must buy. The "Disney Classic Games Collection", too. And "Disney's Hercules".
