EK's progressive product-by-product approach has now come to fruition, providing enthusiasts, System Integrators, Data Centers, and AI/ML-focused companies with a convenient and streamlined solution for crafting their custom cooling setups. Tailor-made for HPC systems and high-compute density applications, the EK-Pro Line offers a comprehensive suite of liquid cooling solutions for their advanced computing needs.
Latest Additions to the EK-Pro Line
EK-Pro Pump Reservoir Manifold X6 D5 - Acetal: A versatile 3-in-1 product, the X6 D5 serves as a pump, reservoir, and manifold. The "X6" denotes its ability to connect with six components as a manifold, while the "D5" signifies a potent single D5 pump for efficient liquid circulation. Beyond its role as a pump-reservoir combo, this product can function as a manifold or a distribution plate, offering flexibility in design and use. Featuring a silent PWM-controlled genuine D5 pump, a drain port, Quick Disconnect Coupling/Fitting, and tubing, users can conveniently drain their systems without additional tools. The manifold ensures plenty of mounting options to suit diverse setups.

EK-Pro Tubing 10/17 mm Reinforced EPDM Preformed 45°/90° - Black: Reinforced with high-quality industrial-grade EPDM rubber in a sleek matte black color, this tubing is designed to offer exceptional durability. The inclusion of nylon reinforcement transforms it into a semi-hard tube featuring one 45 and one 90-degree angle. Ideal for challenging locations where regular tubing might kink, the solution comes complete with plastic clamps for secure installation.

EK-Pro Radiator P360 Multiport and EK-Pro Radiator P480 Multiport: The EK-Pro Radiator P Series is available in two sizes - 360 mm and 480 mm - offering a versatile multiport design for streamlined tube routing. Boasting a medium 45 mm thickness and 18 FPI fin density, these radiators guarantee optimal performance, even at low-speed fan operation. Measuring 120 mm wide, these radiators ensure compatibility with a wide range of PC cases. They are equipped with four G1/4" threaded connection ports, facilitating easy tube routing in various scenarios. The all-black design, accentuated by nickel-plated plugs on unused ports, adds a sleek aesthetic to any cooling setup. The internal structure prioritizes low flow restriction, allowing the addition of multiple radiators to a cooling loop with just a single pump (D5 or DDC). Built with exceptional quality, advanced liquid cooling capabilities, and a user-friendly installation process, these radiators are designed for enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance.

THE ADVANTAGES OF LIQUID COOLING FOR HPC SYSTEMS
High-performance computing facilities use servers and workstations that leverage powerful GPUs, multithreaded CPUs, petabytes of RAM, and extensive storage space. Despite modern advancements in manufacturing and power efficiency, all this computing power generates tremendous amounts of heat.

In fact, it is estimated that up to 40% of the total energy requirements of these facilities is spent on keeping the IT equipment within acceptable operating temperatures. Plus, the components that use conventional air cooling tend to underperform and have shorter lifespans.

By liquid-cooling HPC systems with EK-Pro enterprise-grade cooling solutions, data centers, and system integrators will be provided with the following set of advantages:
  • Improved Performance - Achieve the highest performance numbers the hardware is capable of.
  • Lower Operational Temperatures - Stabilize and maintain optimal temperatures over time and lower the overhead costs.
  • Minimal Noise - Provide optimal noise-to-performance balance.
  • Custom Design - Create tailor-made loops according to your unique server or workstation needs.
  • Minimized Downtime - Achieve more consistent and reliable system operation and minimize overheating-induced downtime.
  • Less Space Needed - Water cooling takes up less real estate in the chassis.
  • Future-Proofed Cooling - Efficiently handles current and all future CPU, GPU, and FPGA architectures.

I would have thought the pro line would be cheaper due to simpler materials, no RGB, no acrylic, etc.....but EK have obviously taken the mentality of a hardware company where there "enterprise" products, despite being similar to their consumer products, are 4x more expensive....not that I'd expect value from EK.

You have a point.

In the pro line, I would expect the best temps, and performance. But I do not believe that is the case either.

Pro doesn't always mean that though. Pro typically means higher reliability, higher quality control, and better engineering. It's an utterly different market segment no matter what industries you are talking about.

I agree with you 100%; When compared to standard gaming products and such, I believe that Pro is the superior option overall.
