Alleged Intel Core i9-14900KS Pictured

At the 2023 International CES, Intel had announced its 65 W (locked) 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" desktop processors, but the star of the show then was the enthusiast-segment Core i9-13900KS Limited Edition processor. A picture of what is allegedly the i9-14900KS, suggests that Intel might repeat its last year's CES announcements, with the i9-14900KS. Last time around, they had the claim to launch the world's first 6 GHz processor, something that is also the latest maximum boost frequency of the current i9-14900K, so it remains to be see what the i9-14900KS brings to the table. A 6 GHz all-core boost for the P-cores, or a speed bump that lets it finally beat the $350 Ryzen 7 7800X3D at gaming? We'll find out next week in Vegas.

One thing is for sure- Intel will suppress their last CPU wattage record.

So much more for sooo much less.

I remember the P4EE needed to run at over twice the clock rate to properly beat the A64 FX chips in all benchmarks. It was crazy.

Can't wait to hear all about how efficient this CPU actually is if you just disable all the e-cores, turn off hyperthreading, lock it to 65W, and use DDR5-8600 memory..

This has been proven to be 100% fake click and bait for views article. What i heard from my sources in the industry is there won't be a 14900KS as the silicon on the 14900K is already 100% maxed out.

Don't forget to only use 1 DIMM and disable half of it for DDR5-12000.

I remember that it was not that bad
Pentium 4 EE 3.2 Ghz 1C2T sk478 on par with FX51 2.2 Ghz 1C1T
Pentium 4 EE 3.73 Ghz 1C2T sk775 in the middle of FX53 2.4Ghz and FX55 2.6Ghz

Pentium EE 965 3.73x2 Ghz 2C4T also same per with athlon x2 2,4~2,6Hhz

it's twice clock rate is compared with Core 2 Duo 6000 series only

But this forum is about overclocking and tweaking, as such any suggestion that one might better spend their time or money on just buying a different CPU that doesn't need to be tweaked to hell and gone to perform decently is obviously deliberate and hurtful trolling and you should just leave us all alone, waaaa!!!

- the people you're referring to, probably

Hi,
I like this part
6 GHz all-core boost for the P-cores, or a speed bump that lets it finally beat the $350 Ryzen 7 7800X3D at gaming?
Only thing left out is intel made another 600.us+- chip to beat a 350.us+- chip
Not sure what intel is thinking or why they thought this was a good thing to prove

You only need to limit PL1 and PL2 to keep them in their efficient zone. No need to mess with anything else.

For almost $150 more where I live it has to be applied to the equation.
