I haven't used one of those in so long I can barely remember what they look like.... but I don't do (camera) photography either, so I have no real need for them anyways :D

They did announce SD and MicroSD Express cards though and that is actually worth something. Though I have no idea if it will be actually released.

Most likely a paper launch like whats happened with Adata or someone else who also announced SDxpress cards couple of months back(currently only Exascend and Sabrent card readers are availble for purchase but no cards being sold or supported by any camera system). Even Samsung has announced microSD express few days back.

Looking at news cycle Adata orignally intended it for Q1 2021 launch then finally announced in Feb 2022 and havent seen them for sale anywhere.

A lot of things still use them

SBCs (e.g. Raspberry Pi), most dashcams, handheld game devices, MP3 players, some phones, some cars...etc.
