be quiet! Shows New Light Base Series PC Cases at Computex 2024

be quiet! had quite a few products at the Computex 2024 show, including two new PC cases that will be a part of the Light Base series, the Light Base 900 and the Light Base 600. These are also the first PC cases from be quiet! with the so-called "fishtank" or "show case" design, or simply a fully windows front and side design offering panoramic view of all the hardware.

The Light Base 900, as the name suggest will also focus on lighting, including an included massive 1.5 m long ARGB LED strip, as well as bundled Light Wings fans (in the Light Base 900 FX version). It also has a rather interesting feature that allows it to be switched to inverted or horizontal layout, which means it supports left, right, and horizontal layouts. The feet can be easily removed and clipped onto the new bottom side. The Light Base 900 is a big case and supports up to an E-ATX motherboard, as well as comes with support for motherboards with backside connector design, including ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Stealth. It also has a VGA holder that prevents graphics card sagging, which also works in any layout or GPU placement.
Since it is a rather big case, it does not come as a surprise that it comes with a two-chamber design with hidden PSU, drives and cables, supports up to two 420 mm radiators at the same time on top and bottom mounts, as well as up to 360 mm one on the side and 120 mm one on the rear. With this in mind, it supports up to three 140 mm fans at the top and bottom, three 140 mm fans on the side, and single 140 mm radiator at the back. All fans and radiators can be installed from outside the case by removing top and bottom brackets, and it has removable dust filters on all airflow sides of the case. It also has two slots for HDD Cage 2, two 2.5-inch drive bays. be quiet! includes two ARGB and fan hubs with a total of 12 PWM and 12 ARGB ports. The front I/O panel gets an ARGB controller button and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

The Light Base 900 will be available in black and white color options and in standard (without fans) and FX version (four Light Wings 140 mm PWM, three Light Wings 140 mm PWM withe reverse blades, and one standard Light Wings 140 mm fan, all matching color of the case). It launches in late September or early October with price set at $179.90/€169.90 and $187.90/€179.90 for the white and black standard Light Base 900, and $229.90/€219.90 and $239.90/€229.90 for the black and white Light Base 900 FX version.

The Light Base 600 is simply a smaller version of the Light Base 900, which means it supports shorter radiators of up to 360 mm and supports up to ATX motherboard. Thankfully, it gets the same support for motherboard with backside connector design, as well as the same design with full windowed front and side panel and panoramic view of the hardware, and it can be also used in left, right, or horizontal layout. It also gets a shorter 1.33 m long ARGB LED strip, similar drive space support, the same two-chamber design with hidden PSU, drives and cables, and the same VGA holder. It will also come with just Light Wings LX fans for the Light Base 600 FX version, including four Light wings 140 PWM fans, three Light Wings LX 140 PWM fans with reverse blades, and one standard Light Wings fan.

The Light Base 600 should come in September with price set at $149.90/€139.90 and $159.90/€149.90 for the black and white standard versions, and $184.90/€174.90 and $194.90/€184.90 for the black and white Light Base 600 FX version.

Or another one... It needs more windows. I just want a case than I can put my stuff in and vents good. No windows as it's sitting near the wall so it's absolutely useless for enough people.

Oh don't get me started on RGB. Changed my 670 Taichi to a B650 Taichi lite just to send a message that not everyone wants RGB. Nothing has it here if it doesn't need it. Videocard has it but turned off but beyond that it's just plain as it can be. It save me maybe 5 watts not massive but why use up 5 watts while all it can do make a wall colorful.
